I really like the full sized frozen bag Bertolli with sausage and roasted peppers. I also think the sauce tends to be watery. The sauce comes in numerous rectangles, and I just started taking them out 2 at a time until I reached the consistency I like. The extra sauce rectangles go in the freezer for when I want an individual serving of spaghetti.

Bertolli also makes this pasta with Italian sausage dish. It is not cheap, but it is just delicious -- some of the very best frozen pasta I have enjoyed.

As a long time watcher, and also a person with their own microwave meal troubles, most time instructions are designed for the most powerful I believe 1200 wat microwave, if someone has a 750 watt the times need to be extended proportionally.

Al dente is pasta cooked but firm. The more you cook pasta and the softer it gets the farther away from al dente it gets.

Bertolli hasn't made its corporate mind on what the four cheeses are in its Four Cheese Ravioli in Marinara Sauce. The call-out on the package lists Romano, Ricotta, Parmesan, and Mozzarella, but the ingredient list says Romano, Ricotta, Parmesan, and Asiago (which I think is a better choice).

One of the few frozen items I still buy: Bertolli bag meals (most are pasta but not all). Almost all varieties are good to excellent, though I doctor most of them up with either additional sauce, mushrooms, frozen peas, bacon, etc. - depending on the meal. I think when you do them on the stovetop you have a better shot at controlling sauce consistency by reducing it if necessary. These have, however, become pretty darn expensive around me - I only buy them on good sale - 4 bags at a time :)

If cooked a bit longer the sauce should start to thicken up. I find the directions to be more of a general guide rather than best results.

You know ive been eating plenty of frozen tortellini, specifically from a local company and a bigger one called Renas. Both are solid but the renas has some sort of tortellini with prosciutto in it- my goodness.

First you make pasta from hard wheat. Then you cook it. Then you freeze it. Then you reheat the frozen version. Such a lot of work! The customer has to do only the last, of course. That’s a LOT of processing.

The pasta was firm because you didn't cook it straight through the recommended amount of time. When you take it out a minute early then cook in 30 second windows , it doesn't cook the same

If the pasta is that overly firm when cooking in that much liquid it's definitely undercooked. You also really need to read the instructions more carefully....see where it says "adjust cooking times as needed"? Cook times are based on an 1100 watt oven. If your microwave is lower power you need to increase cook time which will also help thicken the sauce. PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! The cooking times are there as a guide ONLY. You adjust AS NEEDED. Even if your microwave is 1100 watts the cook time may still need to be increased depending on age and efficiency of the microwave. You've made this mistake MANY times in your videos. The ravioli dishes most likely needed 5 to 5 1/2 minutes in your microwave. No matter what the package says, you cook till done, otherwise it's not an accurate review.
