An exhilarating journey of six friends with a shared passion for discovering and recording musicians in their living environments. This project will be the sharing of a special experience in which we hope you will want to participate.
Some of the musicians are established and famous, others are among the brilliant budding talent that adorns Pakistan’s musical scene. Each of the mehfils has a distinct atmosphere and mood, but there is a common thread. We asked each of the musicians to stay close to their respective inherited musical traditions, allowing the singers an opportunity to present some pieces that are rarely heard today.
We are inspired to present the brilliance of this contemporary Pakistani vocal music to a wider audience and seek your financial assistance in making this possible.

I've only heard Moalana Rumi's kalam Beshno az Nay Chon Hikayat Mikonad once before in a qawwali recording made ten years ago at the barsi of their father Munshi Razi Uddin in Karachi. Always wanted to have it recorded in a baithak setting. This kalam is sung in a few different ways in both Afghanistan and Iran. The versions of Nashenas and Shahram Nazeri are also lovely. Shujaat Khan's version with Kayhan Kalhor playing the kamancheh is especially haunting. Particularly loved how Fareed Ayaz saheb has intelligently linked and stitched one kalam to another and the ease with which they change from one tarz to another at 10:23 as they begin Guftam Ke Roshan az Qamar. It shows their mastery and comfort with which they can weave through one raag to another and one poem to another.

The whole family is into music. The masters(ustads) and their students(shahgirds). Master giving chance and acknowledging their attempt and the students carefully getting those lessons like riyaz. Indeed Farid Khan sahab is one of the finest singer, qawaal of our times. He himself is a university in himself. All others equally mature assisting in the chorus. Its always heart warming to listen to these recitals and rendetions❤️. Thank you DJ for this priceless gift

I can with certainty say that Dream Journey has fulfilled the desire of all its listeners by uploading this masterpiece. A rendition of Rumi's Masnavi's beginning that would force every head to submit to God's will. If one wants to see the power of poetry and music at one place this is the channel for him or her. No doubt, absolutely no doubt this is the zenith of the expression of poetry. Life is too short a thing to devote to Rumi's Masnavi, but after listening to this music I think the beginning of Masnavi is infused with such meaning that the first two verses might take hundred lives of mine. All this realization because of this wonderful channel. People have Oscars and God knows what awards for recognition. Dream Journey has taken more than all the awards taken together.

In this poem Mawlana in genral people are complaining of the separation, the separation is referred in this poem of hazarat Aadam and Bibi Hawa they got separated from heaven and send to earth thus all mankind is complaining of this separation from heaven and they have to go trough all these hardships. بشنو این نی چون شکایت می‌کند از جدایی‌ها حکایت می‌کند کز نیستان تا مرا ببریده‌اند در نفیرم مرد و زن نالیده‌اند
