Awesome breakdown of each particular section, best I've seen and real easy to follow - Thanks heaps Rob. At a some stage I'd be real keen (& greatful) to see exactly how you make those sleeve inserts to use on a wooden pen version. Ive tried all sorts of timber stabilizers, timber harders etc, but eventually the wooden theads always break down and perish. Lovein your vids, great you're keepin life balanced & hangin there with your channel too Cheers, Kev - peace ✌️

Thank you Kev, You’re right, wood just does not hold threads. There are a couple pen kits from bullseyeturningsupply.com, the Apollo and the Artimus. They show the sleeves exactly. Look them up so you don’t have to wait on me to show them. Regards, Bob

Hi Bob - I'm not quite there yet as far as making kitless pens, or even fountain pens as far as that goes. I do have some of the Apollo rollerball kits from Bullseye, but I haven't taken the time to even make those yet. Regardless, it is always enjoyable to watch your videos. - Dave

Thank you Dave, I do appreciate your support. 😀 The Bullseye kits are a good transition into Artisan pens. Regards, Bob

Hi Bob I was out in the shop turning a Cosmopolitan pen kit until I was putting the kit together the transmission got stuck when I was pulling it apart and so I used my disassemble tools got cap assembly out but I ruined the transmission so my question is there a other kit I can use in place of the Cosmopolitan pen kit. Anyway I did a little surfing on the internet not finding what I'm looking for. Hope you can give me some advice as to what I can do.

Hello Ray, The closest thing I could find was the Carpenters pencil. It uses a 3/8” tube that is 3.205” long The Cosmopolitan uses a 3/8” tube that is. 3.193” long. The issue is the Carpenters pencil has to be exact to match the mechanism. Regards, Bob
