Not quite as good as a Brockhaus Heuer, but I like the method of retaining the handle. If it ever got bent, it would be a cinch to straighten in a hydraulic press.

I got his vise from Bessey as they are just now coming onto the market. They should be in full distribution in the coming weeks.

I recently bought the five inch model. One thing I am very displeased with is that the fixed jaw does not protrude out far enough. You cannot clamp a log item that extends below the work bench surface. If I had noticed this before installation, I would have returned it.

Awesome, I'll definitely be getting one of these when they are available. Again, your reviews are really great!.

It looks a lot like the Ridgid F-45. A very nice German made vise. Good choice.

Great video! Out of curiosity, where did you get this vice from? I can't seem to find this model online? I find a Bessy vice but it's a different 4" model than this.

Kanca may well be the contractor Bessey hired to manufacture these, but the Kanca specs aren’t the same as the ones from Bessey. Maybe they requested slightly different specs like more jaw depth, and more mass - the Bessey BV-DF6SB has 4” jaw depth and 50lb weight compared to the Fortissimo 150 which has 3.5” jaw depth and 40.7lb. Kanca seems to make these vises not just for Bessey, but Rigid as well.
