Best .325 chain? Stihl RS vs Husqvarna C33

Hello from Germany! Both chains are great and fast but the Stihl RS pro is even faster! it has even narrower incisors than the C33! and I don't want to advertise because I'm not a Stihl fan at all. Quite the opposite... So if you need performance, you should get it! Or are they not available in the USA? LG Arne

The Kerf is still more narrow on the 23rs, that’s the difference.

Got a Husk 545 Mk ii earlier this year, with 18 inch bar , and C 33. it cuts nicely for general firewood , trees up to 20 inch , use 95 Txl too, its a nice smooth chain . And yes C 33 will bog down when pushed. :-).

The holes work but it weakens the chain… sometimes when I’ve had the chain derail with stihl chain or even some of the new oregon chains that have the hole too, it breaks the dl off where the hole is. The chain often still works if the burr is filed off, but is compromised.

RS and C83 are my favorite chains. Exited to try this chain out.

I can honestly say I've never ran either one of those chains out of the box. But man I wish you'd try an out of the box 95TXL. I have no idea if it's faster than these two or not. Course I was running it on a GZ4500 and G450 Redmax but it surprised me how much faster it was than the 20 I run now. But the smoothness was the most impressive part. For what it's worth on the internet. I do sell roughly 600 feet of custom cut chain loops a year.

I have ran it often. It isn't even close to these two. Not even in the same league. That's a good work chain for someone wanting smooth cutting that holds an edge for a long time.

I think the C33 will still be a better chain because i bet it'll sharpen a lot easier
