High dynamic range adds more colors, which would mean a more accurate gradient theoretically. You'd have to dial it in quite a bit manually to get a good HDR shot.

For sure - you'd think I remember what HDR stands for hahah. High dynamic range makes perfect sense considering you're 'adding in' more detial, with the shadows etc as well - altho a bit of an oxymoron on a small sensor like in this. Usually bigger the sensor, more dynamic range. But considering the iPhone has pretty solid HDR, I think that theory is starting to become less relevant. The EMEET really benefits from its HDR function - it's almost night and day. I just leave it on all the time now. The webcam gets more fun the longer you use it, and the software is surprisingly handy. Take care and thanks for the comment.

That's awesome - I've been enjoying it as well. The HDR function and the app to tweak camera settings is really useful. Besides a legit full frame camera, I think the S800 is a great and affordable option.

For use as a webcam the difference between those 2 is so small at least to my eyes. If it was not for the side by side comparison I would be perfectly content with the emeet s800 for content creation or streaming. For the price difference you could spend it on really good lighting and audio equipment.

For sure - thanks for watching. I think it’s nice just to have the webcam on there (the top of monitor) and it just works. Not having to setup my mirrorless camera every time. And heaps better than built in one. If I want super max quality for streams I will setup my ZVE1, but I like having both options - and for just ‘google meets’ all day - it’s perfect. The software where you can edit your ‘settings’ actually works awesome and can really dial in the image.
