There’s something pretty important left out of the Procreate part. The reason why it’s very limited is because each frame is a single layer (and then you have these individual layers for each frame), and Procreate has a *frame limit.* This means that you have a limited amount of frames you can make. Thus, you can have a super-short animation, but nothing big. Procreate would be an absolutely amazing animation app if the frames weren’t layers.

Animation Pro is a another powerful animation app. It's not a frame by frame but its still pretty good, some of the features. Rigging your own figures is easy and you can import transparent PNGs for body parts or draw them in the app. You can position figures over live camera for stop motion. Tweening with powerful key framing. Cloned figures (your specified adjustments done to original apply to the clone) Audio to frames Filters (blur, distort, shading, tinting etc) that can be tweened.

I am surprised that none of these apps have a feature where they can fill in frames. In other words the most labor intensive thing about animating is having to draw every single frame. It seems like the biggest advantage to using computers for animation is that the software should be able to do some of the work for us. For example I draw a ball flying through the air in frame one and frame ten and ask the app do draw the frames that would occur in between. Aren't there any apps that can do this?

I wish you'd gone in to audio features on these; my biggest gripe with procreate right now is that I can't easily sync up my stuff to the audio I plan to use with it

Hi this was an amazing video but i also want to know which ones are the best but with no watermark (Don’t need to pay to rid the watermark though). Thank you so much!! Have a good year :D

My biggest problem with procreate is the fact that it crops your image when off the canvas. For example, I have a head that I want to bob up and down as an emote, however, i cant move any pixels out of frame without them deleting. Otherwise for illustration it is fantastic.

New fan here. Is it alright if you make a video about free animating or drawing apps on old ipads ? (as in those THICC old ones)
