I bought this drone after watching this review. It's my first drone and it's great. Very stable in the air and easy to fly. It's nippy and responsive. Camera is ok but the feed lags a lot so couldn't really fly it with a vr box. It's light and gets battered by the breeze. I'm very happy with it and would also recommend as a first drone. Better life than what I bought over a year ago after watching you review and recommend World's Cheapest GPS Camera Drone - Hubsan 502E X4 that gave around a 12 minute flight time. Sad to say I went through 3 motors within 3 months of light flying and retired it and am now looking for a brushless motor quad for longer motor life.

Great quad. I wish they would add the visual positioning to and a stabilized camera. Would be a steal in the $100 range if they did that. Good range of rates and it will handle some wind in rate 3.

I got one of these for a friend's 12yr old daughter who'd had a fly-away with another type and I managed to get few flights when I showed her how to use it. She's already up to doing some minor proximity flying. Flight time (and yes spare batteries _are_ available and cheap) is great for beginners because they have plenty of time to get used to it. The only fault for me is how and where the video saves as you need a fair bit of space on the phone Great review as always

Urg. You guys are killing me. I just pulled the trigger on a Drocon Dc-014 yesterday for under 50.00 on Amazon. It looks like it's pretty much the same drone and 720p cam. The only difference is the battery is only 450mah as opposed to 1800mah. Oh well 5 minute flight times it is. The only thing I don't like about these toy drones is the proprietary batteries. I have plenty of single cell and two cell li-po batts and a really good charger. It would be nice to use that for faster charge times.

I just ordered a Spark. I’m excited to get it and start flying but I have to wait a few days for it to be delivered. It will be my first non toy drone. I started in the hobby 30 years ago with RC cars but got back into the hobby and into drones largely because of your channel. I have bought 2 toy drones that you had recommended. The S9 (mini spark) and the 8807 which is very similar to the Visio. If I were to get into planes I would get that gps plane you showed on the channel a couple of weeks ago. I’m a big fan of technology and the tech that went into that plane is just awesome for beginners and I loved that the plane would grow with you as you learned to fly it you could put it in a more advanced mode. Blew my mind! 🤯 I would love to see more tech like that plane on your channel.

Great question. Sorry I didn't cover that in the video. I have now pinned a comment with that info, but it is a 720P cam ;) Also, it does have a memory card slop on the bottom of the drone. This was just recorded directly to our phone. Happy Flying Wis!!!

My brother got me one as a Christmas gift. It's 720p. According to the manual (very basic), there's 480p, 720p, and 1080p. You can record to a memory card (do not insert it incorrectly or it will get stuck). You can also record directly to your phone.

If I could give you a constructive criticism. I fell in love with drones. I don't know what age u are but I am 45 and remember sears catalog seeing the rc planes. However I came to realize that I can not fly without some kind of Sensor like gps Optical flow. I bought one of my first drone last year based on your recommendation. Lost it because I had no idea as far as hand eye coordination. It was a syma I can't remember the which one but remembered u were extremely happy about it and I know I could fly it now but as someone having no concept of flying but have always had a desire. I lost it with in 20 minutes. I thinking I payed around 60.Not beginning negative so hopefully I don't come off that way. What I am basically saying is give a rating 1 through 10 the rise Tello 10 because of how easy it is. Hubsan 501s 9. I love it btw. Hopefully I am making sense. I do make weirdness with them uploaded to here and Instagram. You all are my favorite drone channel a little bit jealous because both of you are into it. The Drone can be purchased from Gearbest with 1, 2, or 3 batteries. There are batteries all over eBay & Amazon but they are the 900 mAh old generation from the previous model drone, not the 1850 mAh supplied with the BattleShark..

Visuo is putting out some reallly good quality toy folders! I just got this one myself! Crazy good bird and 18 minutes of flight time? WiFi FPV is..well, WiFi FPV : / They have a Mini 809 with a 7.4V battery and more recently a GPS version! I've been flying for a good while now and I get more enjoyment out of my toy grade birds! We will see how long that lasts. Picking up a DJI Spark next month. Going down to Florida in February.. Wisconsin can keep the ice and snow..lol! Very much agreed my friend :-) I'll have to check out those other options you mentioned. I couldn't agree more about getting enjoyment out of cheaper birds more than expensive ones. It's much easier on the nerves knowing if you crash you are only out $50 or so instead of possible way more! I love my Spark, as you probably know already, and it's possibly one of my most enjoyable expensive drones to fly. I still get nervous when flying the Mavic, due to it's price point. Also if you're getting a lag in your video make sure you have your Bluetooth turned off on your phones that can cause lag in a video I've already experienced it and proved it it does take the lag out of it most of the time don't know if that helps you but I sure hope so have fun flying and thank you for the video.

K, cuz just bought a very small syma, very close to what you tested a little while ago, from Costco. But the range is bout 50ft. So figured would work with both. Not planning on any more than line of sight. That's fine for me.

Really nice drone. What is the maximum range in feet? Does it come in white or silver? I had a nice black drone that got caught in an updraft and sent it careening into a dense forest. After hours of searching, I never did find it but might have if it was white or silver. What would be great is if this drone (and others) had an internal emergency signal that goes off when the drone gets out of the range of the controller - OR - alternatively, automatically reverses course and sends the drone back into range. Maybe the more expensive drones have those features. One other cool idea would be to have the drone return to base when the flight time left is critically low. Certainly would be more useful than flipping the drone (which gets old fast).

So I presume you folks recommend Tianqu Visuo products in general, from the comments on this video and the reference to the "best of 2017" model. I followed your link to GearBest and they have several, including the XS812: under $80 for 720p, 1 battery - and a 1080p version with 3 batteries under $100. States 14+ minute flight time. Hello Jonathan, that is a good question. Since this is a WiFi FPV drone, I wouldn't fly it very far away. It comfortably flew far enough away that I Nearly couldn't see orientation on the drone, which is Perfect. I never recommend anyone fly any drone further than what they can see LoS (Line of Sight) for safety reasons. Hope this helps! Happy Flying!

I love your videos. I bought myself a little $28 wifi fpv drone and I love it and I just bought an xk a800 power glider and I want to progress maybe to the xk a1200. Until then I'm going to keep watching your videos and picking up some tips!

Hello, been a subscriber for a long time love your videos , i do something ever weekend with my grandson but now i'm on my second next surgery and he don't understand why I don't run around with him so I figured get a drone but worried I'll still pick the wrong drone I have flown Choppers and RC boats 20 year ago nothing lately , which drone do you think would be best for me ?? The 8807 ist no visuo, as you guys said yourself, when you compared it to one last year 😉. Actually I bought it cause of your recommendation and just now am in the process of tinkering with it so it will take a bigger battery. All the best to you three!

Well i buy visuo xs809s last 1 month ago when deliver that drone im excited to play it is very good to play. In a week to use the that drone have trouble lift side back motor is to hot the drone fall down back ward. Im trying to change a motor but same. The motor are still to hot. And the arm seat motor are defform in his shape. Pls. Help me give a advise for this this is my first drone I love to play drone

Hey guys thanks to this vid i got an awesome starter drone. It handles great in light wind.. although it drifts a little on turns but it lightweight so thats to be expected Stunt mode is fun and a very nippy model. Great review guys.

Just had the maiden flight today, with mine. It's quite bouncy off walls. I should've looked into how the prop guards fitted it more. Now I've got a hairline crack in a blade :(. Luckily, got 4 spares. Just need to work on flying it, pointing in my direction. I lose control tat way. Pointing away is alright.

Hey go for the three batteries and try to get the 2.0 wide-angle 720p camera that will run you about $65 at tomtop but you'll have to wait for it to come out of Canada. But get the one with the three batteries. and just like I tell everybody else don't plug your USB port in backwards to the battery you'll the pn's in the USB micro port. then you'll have to modify the battery. And yes you can get every part for this when you need it the gears are the same that's in the older model good luck have fun but by the extra flight has you'll be glad you did 45 minutes and you'll be tired. Or just get the one from gearbest are bangood run you about 78 for the best one on the market 3 batteries you can't beat it. Don't try to save a few dollars when you can get the best for just a few dollars more. Also take a look at the CG 033 drone. Pre-order for $178 you get GPS you get a one mile range if you buy the 1K version or you can get a 300M if you buy the 1 mile version colors will only be choice would be white if you buy the one mile range or if you buy the $300 range you will get red blue or black. They won't ship until the 16th I will probably make some videos and put them on KZbin for you to see how it flies repeat it's the new CG 0 3 3

My Goals are; I am 61 yrs old, never had one and am looking for the price to go down on the DJI mini spark. Dummy question, why only good for outdoors? WiFi only? So ya gotta be near an open wifi or it works off my Hot Spot? Thanks
