i just got acer swift 3 from bestbuy canada base on your recommendation so i faced few problems NO.1 battery is not GOOG it lasts only 6 hours with 50% btightness, FAN is noisy also and it always on even normal browsing , MIC Audio quality is poor i would say poor than a 200 LAPTOP , and one thing more i got this laptop today i shows my warannty has been started in 2021 i dont know whats wrong with this unit, why it shows llike that bcz i buy this lapi brand new even open with my hands.....

You need 65W charger to charge it via C port. But make sure you are using 65W or higher, check voltages and amps, because if you are using less, like 35W, you will kill your battery or while charging your CPU will be underclocked at 0.6GHz, including graphics, to try protecting the battery.

Swift 3 is lighter and more portable. Aspire 5 is bulkier but you can upgrade RAM and SSD. So if you prefer upgrade options, Aspire 5 is better. If you just want a thin and light laptop, go with Swift 3

I recommend you R5 5500U with 16GB of RAM. This laptop is ultra slim, like A4 format, very small, perfect for business, not for gaming. 5500U can handle pretty much everything for everyday tasks with 6 cores or 12 threads. The main reason for recommendation is battery and ECC that no other variants have, only 5500 have it, means no calculation errors will be produced by the CPU. Battery may last for 12 hours, base clock are higher, thats good for applications since more applications likes single core higher base clock, you can run everything anyway for business. Additional graphic card will suck power, including additional fan, and are pretty much useless, GTX1050Ti are about 20% stronger then MX450. With R7 5700U you will get 2 additional cores, lower base clock and higher turbo boost, shorter turbo boost, but its a laptop with a very small cooler anyway, graphic card will get 1 additional core and +200MHz, for the cost, no ECC, maybe little less battery, its like trying to keep same battery level running two additional cores for the price of lowering all base clocks. So R7 5700U are still good option, no ECC, but slightly higher multi-core performance, if you really need it, the question is, are higher price actually following that performance or they are selling for overprice like at the moment. Usually peoples who have 6 cores for business will not notice additional 2 cores, if you really need a real power and real boost for 24/7 for things like 3D rendering, its better to invest into something other. With integrated, you can still play some games, like Warframe and DotA2, low settings, 60FPS, but this laptop are not for gaming, and are not intended to work at full speed for longer period of time. Some Intel variants are even fan less versions, a versions with no fan for cooling, so its battery life are extended. So this is not a gaming laptop, this is laptop for business, for the job. If you are gonna game on it, first you will need to remove his DTS audio drivers because of audio delay in games, and use standard Microsoft HD audio that sounds bad on this laptop. If you are buying 5500, make sure it has 16GB of RAM, ECC will help you in business, very fast, very snappy. If you are buying 5700, same thing, 16GB of RAM is a minimum. Vega will use additional RAM, so variants with 8GB of RAM are useless in couple of years if not even today. If you are buying with nVidia GPU, it means you need nVidia support and their technologies for rendering videos, like content creator, also aim for RAM because it still has integrated graphic. For example, content creators will aim for 5500 with nVidia, because they wanna make sure that job will be done every time, no excuses, always perfect. Real business peoples will be happy with 5500 at dual channel like cc and would love battery. That are peoples who usually restart PC after 300 days of working with no errors. Students will be happy with 5700, because they will "feel" additional power. Variants that are available actually depends on you, what you need, basically you are choosing between ECC, higher base clock, higher multi-core short burst, nVidia technology and battery life.
