Thanks so much Claire! This was a fun one to explore. Love the natural decay here. Def unique being an animal hospital!

Two things I was surprised to see, one is the amount of not just equipment but meds just left there. Im amazed that was allowed! Also the number of kennels. It wasnt a massive place with loads of consult rooms so its strange to have so many hospital spaces. Its in horrible condition considering its only been closed about 17 years. Really interesting find. Great video!

We felt the exact same way. They building looks pretty small from the outside so we weren't expecting all this to be in there. It was a really cool explore and different from the average hospital.

They left a lot of stuff behind. Front office looks like they took nothing. Thanks for the tour. Good video.

Thanks for watching! Its so awesome when you come across a location that's been abandoned this long and still has this much left inside.

My cat, Angel, was born in February 2004, and is still alive today at 17, still acts like a kitten! 😊 Quite surprised by the decay considering what almost 20 years of abandonment can do.

My cat sadly passed on March 5th of 2022, shy of a year after I posted this comment. I miss when she would sleep beside me each night. Before Angel, we had Emma, who was an orange British shorthair, two years older than me. She died from heart issues at age 9. It was my first major loss to experience in my family as I was seven at the time. Hopefully we’ll get another cat in the future.

I was just watching you abandoned hospital vids thinking it would be cool to see a abandoned vets and wallah! I always find it so crazy that they leave so much behind should be illegal

I graduated from Vet School in early 2005, so right after this practice was abandoned. I suspect the owner died suddenly or was somehow incapacitated, normally there would be a "shut down" process. Euthanasia solution is a Schedule IV controlled substance for instance, and it should have been discarded appropriately, ie sent back to the distributor. Sad to see a practice in such a state, but these things happen. Surgery table was a converted human model and VERY old.

I think this practice when it was operational probably had a dog grooming salon within it. That first room with the tub, the dog nail polish and the pet cologne. Those would indicate a groomer worked out of the clinic. It's quite a common practice since some animals are so aggressive when they are matted or just haven't had enough exposure to grooming, that they require sedation to be groomed.

This was pretty cool! They actually use nail polish on some dogs after grooming, don't think my pit would like that. 🤣

THanks Mary! Haha we weren't sure if they actually painted their nails but figured they did since it was there.

Euthanasia Solution - it makes me wonder how many of those animals were put to sleep simply because they were closing. The bottle was out in front...
@abandonedcentral3 жыл бұрын
Yea animal hospitals def can be sketchy. They will try to charge for some random things knowing most pet owners will just pay it thinking its needed.

@@abandonedcentral Deeply offended by your remark. I am a DVM, and while SOME vets can be shady the vast majority are exceptionally decent human beings, saddled with huge student debt, deeply care about animal health and welfare and are just trying to do their jobs. Consumer Reports has taken perfectly healthy (ie they had rads/bloodwork etc) cats and dogs to vets to see if the vet says they are anything but perfectly healthy, and consistently the vets tell them just that. Again, not saying (particularly with corporations moving into and dominating the profession) some vets aren't shady cause I've definitely met a few that are...but they are the distinct minority. I work at a low cost clinic and we provide services at about 1/5th to 1/10th the going rate of most practices around us.

Never would happen, in a million trillion years. You must have signed owner consent to euthanize an animal. Not doing so would cost you your license and also be considered cruelty to animals, punishable by huge fines and jail time. Euthanasia solution is a controlled substance, so you would also could be up on DEA charges for using a controlled substance inappropriately. So, having said that I do know a vet who did something like what you described, he had started a no kill animal shelter "on the side", and got tired of taking care of the animals and went in one weekend and euthanized them all. I think there were 10 or so animals. His argument, technically true, was that he was the "owner" and could thereby give consent for their euthanasia. The amount of holy shit that rained down on him from a very great height was spectacular. He lost his veterinary license ( I remember seeing the charges against him listed as TNTC which is medical shorthand for "too numerous to count), he served jail time and also lost his practice. He left the veterinary profession and guess what he became? A minister. Yeah, that just about says it all right there.

What worries me is the location. Is it in a town or rural ? If kids came across and entered here ( no door) all instruments and full bottles of medication, pills etc lying about, I hate to think what could happen. 😯😯😯
