The best one is the apollos arrow abilities. Not only are they excellent for taking out strong enemies from afar, if you have the time and patience, but they're amazing for scouting ahead or getting an overhead view of a puzzle. And the slow down/speed up effect is awesome.

The sprint + heavy attack is one of the most broken ability imo. Huge stun damage, and really easy to sprint around your target and right click sometimes.

max-out the bow with Athena's lightning and slow-mo aiming, get a head shot every time for max dmg and keep your distance (can be repetitive). but it's beyond op, even in the nightmare difficulty, you kill all super fast

You missed the Herakles pull that lets you pick up larger items. A must have for early game.

Worth noting if you need to move a large steel cube over a gap you can smash it with the hammer ability to try and get it over the gap.. it works 👍 cubes respawn if knocked off

its best to get the puzzle abilities early. like the herakles heavy lift, phoenix clone and you can get the apollo's arrow speed control because some of the odysseus challenges are hard without it, especially if you don't control it with a mouse.

I put 70+ hours on cyberpunk, was trying to go for the completion trophies in all the areas... One of the quest lines bugged out barring me from getting them, so I downloaded this game. Instantly did last mission on Cyberpunk and swapped to this. I explored pretty much everything (other than phosphor mission) before starting on the gods. No longer feel shame using Google for the Big Lyre codes, which i think I'm done with unless there's one in the north. Haven't touch King's peak yet. Also, *huge* "Wish I Knew Sooner"= you can use stamina potions *while* gliding/climbing/using ares wrath to cheat tartaros vaults lol

To me athena’s charge is what I use the most, stun potential of that skill is absurd. Athena charge into a crowd and watch them all get stunned even flying enemies with the after skill AOE.

dashing sword strike with sword that regen 2 stamina every dashing strike, coupling it with hephaestus hammer for , use the axe that regen hp on stunned target and thats my build and the recipe for immortality.

Also the ax dash attack is a good option to pick up as well. It will stager big enemies like the cyclops on hit.

Pull yourself towards enemies is a complete staple regardless of your playstyle, and you do not mention it here. It's part of the Hercules tree. It costs 1 stamina bar to use and will pull yourself to any enemy, even in the air, and allows you to follow it up with an aerial attack (which are on baseline stronger than regular attacks). It's without a shred of doubt the most useful power.

I like shield bash the most for combat but phosphor is very good for evading enemies and very good for puzzles and combat

I finished Darksiders 2 before I started this game it it took me forever for me to stop pressing doge when I wanted to attack since in Darksiders the button was the light attack.

this game is absolutely gorgeous in 4k 0r 1440p a truly neglected game, and the Phenix is the most powerful weapon in the game, the hammer is not as powerful once you boost up the bird.it does more damage and uses less stamina so my advice is to focus on that get the hammer later it's not as powerful and uses a massive amount of stamina. which can leave you very vulnerable. also don't bother with blocking too much-instaed relly on the dodge which if done correctly slows downtime and more.

Gathering is sort of wasted points at the start. Yes, it makes gathering faster, but unlocking your Godly powers, combos and the ability to get your basic enemies air borne into a few more combos with swords is way useful. The combo with the axe is pretty much useless unless you can stun them and get the combo going. It’s far too slow and you will never complete it if they aren’t stunned. Unlocking heavy lifting is an amazing power. Having heavy things thrown at you by big enemies and catching them mid air and throwing them back does awesome DPS! It takes time to find your play style and what works best for you. There are several ways you can go and have a different experience each time you play. I wish they’d make a new game of this. Less puzzles 🧩 and better combos. They really need to fix the broken combat in this game. Focused on an enemy in a combo and your character faces a different direction you cannot control and the enemy you’re attacking is being forced behind you and now you’re not doing damage. Unlocking both abilities of pulling yourself to an enemy vs grabbing a bolder gets mixed up all the time. You cannot stay targeted on any specific enemy because it’s completely random attacks many times going after enemies you are not trying to focus on yet. The combat against groups of enemies can get extremely frustrating at times.

Yes! You have to upgrade the arrow. I use a controller, so the analog stick adjusts the speed. The skill will tell you the controls based on your control scheme

@@BronzeDadPlays I only got the demo to try it out before buying it, I have only at the moment the PS4 Pro not the new PS5 which I can't seem to get for love or money at the moment, I used my PS4 controller with it, it didn't seem to give option for slowing down the arrow flight, and beside I am terrible at using it as arrow seems to go places I don't want it to go, I.E when I press up on it arrow goes down and then opposite for the other direction, maybe I should look at how controller is laid out for the demo to see what to do.

I'm not a big puzzle fan either but don't let it turn you off, for the majority they're pretty simple - move this bolder here, that bolder there.. The exploration and combat are so satisfying 😊

The puzzles in this game really do sap the fun out of it. There are so many Vaults and you usually have to solve at least two puzzles in every Vault then you have to solve puzzles to get chests then you have to solve puzzles to do the constellation puzzles then more puzzles for actual picture puzzles and then there are puzzles to turn on machines. You get to a point where you start avoiding things cause you don't want to deal with absurdly ubiquitous puzzles.
