Have you only used astros? I switched over from Arctis 9x and they sound so much more crisp. I d pick up footsteps better but the game sounds so crappy and muffled now

Holy moly! My right ear is about 60-70 percent deaf due to surgeries and I felt hopeless until I found this settings video. I figured I'd give it a shot and immediately tried Apex with your settings. I'm finally able to correctly hear footsteps and know exactly where they're coming from! Thank you so much for this, man! I know it's sounds like I'm exaggerating, but I finally feel free.

@@jacquizzz3476 The surgery was a 'Radical Mastoidectomy' . Long story short, it really saved my life so I'm grateful. But since the ear drum was beyond repair, it's the reason for my hearing loss. Hearing aids don't help me much either so It can be tough and often times, depressing to deal with. But I know there are people dealing with worse situations so I'm just grateful I can hear at all. 🙏 Thank you for your kind words.

@@N3VURMYND I think the same way. My macula didn't form all the way in my right eye when I was born and it usually happens in both eyes. It's a miracle I have vision in my left eye. bought my a50's 2 years ago and had the same problems. takes a while to figure out. also my front panel audio connectors had way less interference and had zero static or clipping. its worth trying around with different ports imo.

4:26 you can't see the numbers of each feq, but you can click on each dot and use your up and down keys to move them. i did 4 down for first 4 dots after first then 3 for next then try to match the screen for rest of them works great thanks Dolby Atmos really brings out the sound, specially with the custom profile thanks

If you do any more EQ do it with directional keys and count how many times you tap the key and post that maybe in the description or comments, obviously don't hold down the directional key but it will give people a better idea as to where its at rather than just a visual reference to match up. Edit: you sort of did that so yeah I think its all good

Loved the last vid and like this one as well. I do play WZ on boost high as for the previous settings this was a huge difference for me (I saw in the comments that you preferred boost low). Kinda weird to drop all the lows / boosting all the highs and than picking the boost low no? :) Anyway nice vid again, good to have a bit more precise information on the db +- levels. Keep it up!

those settings have been a good start for me, but they produced some high pitches in the content i was listening to so i decreased the bandwith of the last one to 1.8 like the others and as personal preference i increased 90hz to -3db and 406hz to -4db

Thanks for a helpful video. I also have a question, I am new to better quality headsets so I don’t really understand what is the difference between voice and game mode that you can change between in your windows 10 sound settings. Whenever watching a video on KZbin, for some reason (voice mode) comes off much louder and more refined while (game) sounds dull. So which mode should I stick to if I want my headset both for music and gaming? Or should I switch between these modes depending on whether I am watching KZbin or playing? Btw: I will also add that while astro settings work great, dolby atmos setting the other hand makes the sound terrible. I am not sure whether I did something wrong but this is most noticeable while listening to music.

Make sure the Dolby Atmos is turned off on the headset. (The built in button on the side) That may be the problem with music.

Some application allows you select a different output from the configured one from the OS sound configuration. For example: On windows you select the game mode output so everything by default will deliver the output sound to your astro in game mode. And if you are using Discord for instance, it allows you to select another output other than the "default" one. So you can select the voice mode output. Now that you have this set up, you can increase or decrease the volume from the discord straight from the headphone by pressing the outside of the ear cushion balancing it toward the desired mode you want more emphasis (volume)

I have A50 Gen 3, and I am having an issue. I have no Spacial Audio options. I don't even have Windows native Windows Sonic option. When I set the headset to Voice instead of Game I have spacial audio options, but the Voice option only utilizes 2 channels.

With tweaking the the equalizer on the command center and using the Dolby Atmos which one over powers the other? Or does the Dolby Atmos just give you more ability to enhance the sound?

The Astro command center gives you 100% overall control and the Dolby atmos gives you fine tuning controls. You want to use them together.

Not sure if this has already been stated as I haven't read all the comments but I can confirm that Dolby access is to your account and can be used across devices, I first installed it on my Xbox and then on my PC for the one cost. Unless of course they've changed this since I purchased.

J'étais à deux doigts de retourner mon casque car très déçu et je n'arrivais pas à trouver le bon équilibre dans l'équalizer... Je reste sur la version Dolby plutôt que astro. Et je trouve enfin que le rendu spatial "7.1" ressemble à quelque chose, et j'arrive à trouver la direction du son. Je vais l'associé à une carte son mais je garderais tes réglages. Ces derniers équilibres bien les basses et les aigues. Car le casque donne trop de basses et pas assez d'aigues. Je préfère avoir des aigues personnellement. Encore merci pour ton travail.

he used a custom eq in dolby not the game mode. but if you like the game mode stick with it and turn on performance mode to give you a better 3d audio experience.
