A good musician will always be aware of every tiny little mistake they make, and I think that makes them much more humble. It's nice to see, especially when you see that they realise full well there could still be tweaking to their rough diamonds, and are thus open to constructive criticism as well.

It's not a coincidence. Music is one of those things where dishonesty or conceit can easily be heard in your voice, and people don't respond well to that. It's not just about hitting the right notes.

SOMETIMES it's a little easier to be appear humble when you know you are good because you know you don't have to prove yourself to others. It's when you doubt yourself that you are trying to overcompensate outwardly. =-)

She was special, very unique sound and wrote her own music. Trouble is, Simon doesn’t like song writers, he can’t get royalties off of it, unless his team writes the music for the artist. He is just looking for a singer with no other musical skills, with a standard recording voice that will be forgotten about come next years X factor. He is just thinking pound signs, hype someone up on X factor then reap as much money out of them in the following year, till the next X factor contestant comes along. Honestly their is a hand full of artist that have stuck it out passed a year on simons label, he looses interests in them after a year and moves on to the next new thing, if they go on, they normally quit simons label and sign to another label, or quit their label and go into theatre.

Duh. It's overproduced as fuck. Normal human beings don't sound like this in real life. You can tell the difference in the sound ambiance of the audition room when she's talking, and then the studio-quality dubbing over the audition when she starts singing.
