i'm a 22 year old canadian training to become a private pilot and then commercial in canada but even though you're american your videos have been so encouraging and helpful you have no idea, i've had to give up so many things in my life and have had to completely change who i am as a person to pursue this career and it's always nice to know i'm not alone and other people have been through and have been going through the same things as me, relatability is so important in aviation and thank you for being a part of that for me

Hi Scott, Happy New Year! I think the best advice during training that really stuck was to simply allocate enough time and slow down because rushing can result in improper planning that compounds everything and may result in your last flight. I also really like your advice to analyze and come up with what can be improved. This is so critical and could not be more true.

Yes! Thank you for sharing! Perfect advice! An instructor that worked for us used to always say “To speed up, you first have to slow down” and “Fast is slow and smooth is fast”. Thanks again!

Best advice I was given was to take studying for flying serious it’s gonna be our career. I found myself not studying enough and just trying to get by to pass a checkride. Since I want to be a career pilot I took that advice very seriously and now dedicate myself to studying every day.

Excellent advice! Whether or not this is going to be a career, pilot candidates should study as if their lives depend on it… because they do. Thank you so much for sharing!

Study one topic a week, at least 30 minutes, for the REST of your aviation career. You'll never run out of information...

Thank you 1. Aggressively guard against complacency You could fly with someone who you could learn a thing or two from that person. 2. There is no such thing as a perfect flight Even if you do everything right on your flight when you look back you will find that there are something that you could've improved.
