The thing I like about Rag is that there are a ton of places to build with a ton of resources. And not just the cool hidden caves, but amazing places hidden in the trees that nobody notices. Start clearing out trees in some areas and base locations on Rag are limitless!

@30:30 You did not eye candy that GREEN Paraceratherium. It was sooooooooo was envious of Sir Mr Cat Bird being ridden by Phlinger. Not to mention the green stupid raptor after flying through the temple and a glimpse of a green Morellatops. Though I would love to see the taming of the green Megalosaurus.

Always love getting Phlinger notifications! I think he’s got pretty much all the good spots on all the maps memorized. I didn’t know about several of the spots he showed. Have a great day Phlinger!

You flew over where my friends and I have our main base near the castle on an unofficial server on Ragnarok. We're actually planning on branching out to other areas of the map, so this is helpful. Thank you! ❤ I'm also planning on building in that first cave you flew into in the Highlands for a small temporary base.

Thank you so much! I just started this map and started my solo adventure right at the spawn near @18:17. Perfect! This place is beautiful!!

If you don't mind constant fights with beavers along with the occasional theri, carno, raptor - might I suggest the valley at 32, 43. There's a ton of wood and stone that you'll need to clear out to even see said valley, but it is literally a valley. The area is blocked off on all sides with pathways leading out everywhere. Plus, you get the added bonus of a water fall at one end of the valley that has a small pond (where said beavers spawn) with a cave behind the falls. It's kinda crazy how many decent spots are hidden by trees. Side note, if anyone knows how to keep beavers from spawning - I'd love to know because I cant get rid of them. I almost feel like this area is a permanent beaver spawn. I wouldn't be comfortable admitting to how many beaver I've killed since moving here.

Phlinger! My son and I built a sweet base on the rocks north of the green obelisk. There is a pool there and a cliff behind it with tunnels to get to the other side...was epic! ...back to the video!!!

The general rule on Rag seems to be “if you don’t have a secret cave around you, you just haven’t looked hard enough.” I don’t know how you remember where all of these are!

I built on the big Bridge. I repaired the floor, and placed stone foundations across the whole thing, then blocked off the 2 entrances with Behemoth Gates. A few turrets to deter mobs, a couple of windmills for power and its safe as can be. I did my best to rebuild the ruins on the bridge, turning the 4 structures into a storage unit/incubation , kitchen, workshop, and bedroom. I left the 2 side wings open for flyers and I was even able to build Down roughly 10 walls, across the whole bridge due to the foundations. Where i built a taming pen, a greenhouse, kibble farm, and 3 small material factories. (Penguin farm, tec perry farm, and mutton farm) with plenty of space left over for dino storage. My only issue with this spot is there's nowhere to store water tames, but i guess thats what Pokeballs are for lol

Regarding the castle above Viking Bay, the bats and spiders WILL respawn over time even if you clear them all out, so you could wake up to an entire castle refilled with poisonous stuff. Plus there's a huge underground area under the castle that leads to a MASSIVE cave system full of Megalanias and Megalosaurus, and an Artifact hidden in there as well, but you'll need climbing gear to get to it because the artifact is hidden above the main cave area. If you want to torch light the whole cave, you'll need around 1000 S+ mod Standing Torches set to always be on 24 hours a day. There are at least 3 other entrances to the same cave system around that mountain range, one of which is a loooooong branching underwater tunnel in Viking Bay not too far from the sunken ship. Bring a light source (glowing Chibi would be best because they don't need air), full SCUBA gear, and an empty inventory because there's TONS of Silica Pearl oysters in that tunnel and NO creatures to kill you so you can relax and collect pearls. There's also a large hidden underwater cave offshore in the Northeast corner of the map at 10.5 x 24, about 300 feet down in the water. There's lots of crystals that regrow pretty fast in the cave. You'll need a fast and strong tamed water creature to get in and out because there's lots of Megalodons, Mosasaurs, Icthy dolphins, giant Tuso squids, angler fish, and jellyfish between the surface and the entrance to the cave. It's totally hidden from the air and not many people go that far out into the ocean so it would make a good PVP base to protect from raids. Just tame up a bunch of angry sharks for guard duty.

Can always find something new in your breakdown vids. My problem with Ragnarok and Valguero is the constant building-fever I get every time I round a corner or find a new waterfall/ secluded area!

Phlinger across from the waterfall cave at viking bay behind some rocks is a small starter cave on the beach with metal nodes in it. It's right across from the giga skeleton and hidden under the rock platforms right after the broken rock bridge. if you clear out the metal and rocks it will open up and you can wall off the entrance.

I know he is just brushing through a handful of good base locations, so he isn't trying to give us an in depth guide to base locations,, but I can say from personal experience, the cave at the 4:21 mark goes MUCH deeper and has a lot more space than that. The cave with the pool of water at the bottom at 10:35 is another great spot. I built in the cave and along the outer wall above the pool. The pool is very deep if you want to store water dinos and you are close to green ob along with a giga spawn.

All of those locations are great for single player. However Building in the one in the redwoods with the artifact, the two caves with crystal and the hidden metal cave, will earn you a good look at my admin riffle. :-) LOL Edit: I need to add, I love what you do, and the enthusiasm you do it with. Great content. Well worth watching and supporting.

Im working on building a challenge a Boss battle team on the island that doesn't consist of using gigas, rexs or any highly used tames for the boss fights at the obilisk terminal gamma, beta and alpha fights any suggestions of creatures the 99% of players usually wont use like a anky's or something i wanna make it a fun challange to win not just with no tek or guns only but mammals and dino's have to be included in the challange currently trying to get a baryonyx to spawn so i can use it for some of the caves to grab the artifacts
