There is no doubt of the fantastic job they did with this Batman sculpt. It is a beauty to behold. If you have the funds and space, definitely a no brainer. Love the precens, pose and concept. Glad they didn't make it in 1/4 scale or it would have been difficult for me to resist. Fantastic statue of the protector of Gotham.

Hey Chris! I did it, I pulled the trigger. I've always been a huge fan of the comic cover this piece is inspired by so I think it was only a matter of time before I got him. What makes this piece so special is all of the switch outs are very good. When I get this guy in, I see myself using several of the heads as well as witching the chest plate. It's always great to get a deluxe piece and actually use all of the extra parts. Oh and the lighter cape is a very smart touch. The cape on the Hush piece is beautiful but so dang heavy... thus all of the leaning issues many collectors faced. I'm glad P1 went with a vinyl cape.

I need a definitive Batman and seeing your footage has really sealed the deal. The only downside is that seeing this makes me want to pair it with Hush Superman. I hope Prime 1 gives us another solo 1/3 Superman in the future. Great live unboxing and great review as always!

The looking down and the looking to the side (mouth closed) are my fav two portraits. What does it look like without the smoke around the base? Are there any exposed large key holes? It hides a lot of the building and the building’s bat symbol.

It is a great statue. I like the belt. Think of it this way. The belt is gold because of the materials batman used to make it and his emblem is yellow to attract criminals to shoot at it I stead of somewhere else If it helps. Great review awesome statue man.

I agree the belt isn't great- that is not a utility belt! But the cape makes up for the plain look of the belt, and I guess the artist is to blame for that.

I wouldn't say the best Batman statue. The cape is an issue for me, plus the shipping cost on Sideshow is crazy, no doubt because of the cape. I like the Batman vs. Killer Croc statue more. I keep looking at that piece a lot. It just might be the one that gets me to collect 1/4 scale. But that means going 1/4 all the way for me. Are you going to get that one? I wish it would go up for pre-order already.

Now THIS is a grail! Best Batman statue ever, imo, and the best in your collection. Feels like the quintessential Batman statue like the Superman Hush is considered for Supes. In fact, they would pair perfectly together... This should be Exhibit A for why sculpted capes are so important. I was shocked when you were thinking of cancelling this. So glad you didn't! Would you be able to display him up high on your 1:3 tiered display, or is the cape too tall? I'm not sure this one can be beat. Maybe if they do a Jim Lee Hush of his iconic cover on the Gargoyle?

I might have to give in and get this, because that cape is iconic. Does it come in two big boxes? Getting annoyed by the two box shipments, so I'm planning to downsize future orders because of that- afyer getting a prime 1 Batman. The light cape is a plus, because that was my biggest concern. I'm debating between this or the new Arkham Batman. I love the base on that one and the Museum posture. Can you post a photo of your Arkham Batman next to this one? I would like to see how they compare aesthetically.

The pose and textures are really nice on this. I’m not a fan of all the hash marks all over the suit, though. It seems like the sculptor was trying to make visible “comic book ink marks” on the sculpture and gouged them in too deep. They look very odd, as do the lines in the shoulders. For the shoulders it would have been nice to see an overlap in the material where one part of the suit meets the other, rather than just a line.

I think it’s a cool statue but it has issues, that deformed left leg sculpt is just a big fail for me!!! And in my opinion the best Batman 1/3 ever made to date is the Prime one Batman DK3 statue in my opinion… aaI actually have this piece On his way to me as we speak, I ordered this on day one thinking that they will fix that deformed leg but they never did so as soon as it arrives it will be up for the chopping block for anyone who is interested
