I use to have to charge my batteries before every shoot when i was using rechargeable batteries. and i swear since i went with some regular double A's i havent had to change the batteries in months. btw i didnt get a chance to tell you but it was nice meeting you bro! this was a great video!

I never encountered any stability issues using Eneloops. As far as I'm concerned this is a myth, unless I see a demonstration with decently charged Eneloops. Misfires can occur for a number of reasons and I don't think anyone blaming Eneloops (or equivalent cells) has done the analysis / double checking that would allow them to robustly claim that the Eneloops caused the issue.

It’s a tricky thing to reproduce. Although in my head I believe it to be true, whenever I go to test it, I can’t produce any usable data to prove it 🤔

I just tried today, X2T did not fire the flash w/ eneloop battery but it did with duracell. I tried 15 different angles and none fired with Eneloop but each one fired with Duracell. I'm switching.

Been using 1.2V AA for years. Now and again they may miss fire but for the most part they have been pretty solid. Got so many of them now for triggers and other things I don't fancy changing. 🤣

I updatet my XProF with latest Firmware 1.3. There is new the decimal display form of power value. I can choose 2.0 and 3.0. Whats the diference here? Thanks alot!

If the rechargeables caused more misfires then any battery going below the 1.45 volts that the rechargeables operate at would also be misfiring.
@sveinskogen17893 жыл бұрын
What surprises me, is that nobody has made a standard 3.7 (actual voltage of a LiPo cell) battery with a regulator inside an AA shell with a micro-usb connector for charging. Only downside (except price) that would give, would be that the battery gauge would read "full" until the gadget just stopped working (low charge cutoff). Or that Godox hasn't made its newer stuff work with the 16340-size batteries (which would be way more space and power efficient).

This charger is compatible with Ni-MH Rechargeable Batteries, or only works with Lithium Batteries ?

How long do regular 1.5 AA batteries last in X-pro (how many shots are you able to get, until they are drained)?
@robhallphoto2 жыл бұрын
Tens of thousands probably. Really it’s just idle time, not operation that drains the battery.

I bought four sets of those batteries in the video, and they recycle extremely slow. A full power flash takes about nine seconds to recycle. This is in a TT 350 S. Are you getting the same results?
@robhallphoto3 жыл бұрын
I'm not using them for speedlights, I don't own any AA speedlights.

I had always just assumed Ni-MH batteries were just constantly discharging like crazy. Never thought to check if they’re the wrong voltage.
@class_a3 жыл бұрын
Eneloops or equivalent low-self discharge cells do not self-discharge much at all. Unlike the old Ni-MH technolgoy, they'll hold their charge over months. I haven't had any problems with misfires either.

that sucks, I replaced my old sb910s with a two godox V1 and an Xpro, I had the low battery problem for 2 months since I purchased them, now you are telling me that I have 24 eneloops that are useless for my current setup 😂😂😂 thanks for the tip though.
@Willymaze3 жыл бұрын
Not for the flash itself though, for the transmitter you need those 1.5V

Just be careful with LiPos, they are widely used on RC cars, but they are dangerous if not taken certain precautions. Personally i would stay with enloops.
@class_a3 жыл бұрын
I guess you haven't had issues with Eneloops either? They've been working perfectly for me. The battery gauge is not calibrated for them, but that's all. I haven't had misfires at all.

@@class_a My triggers often sleep and are hard to wake up....either it's the batteries (new Eneloops) or the triggers are crap.
