Best Jobava content on KZbin, i watch every video. Thank you for sharing, what an awesome video. Ive been trying to go e4 entering the french and the caro khan main lines, but i just dont know enough about those. I would to see more about the jobava alternatives with i guess Bf4 even if they are not as strong

Thanks for the kind words! I generally never play e4 in the Rating Climb except Vs kingside fianchetto where I play the Austrian Attack.

Your explanation on why we should take a piece or block it is very instructive.

In the second game (7:30) pushing the pawn was preferred by computer (+3.1) versus taking on h6. I had to go back and look at that since this line is quite common in the Jobava London. Thanks for making these instructive videos in this opening.

I was actually wondering about that while watching the replay. Thanks for clarifying that Sean!

I play Jobava only against kid setup, but hopefully will introduce some more lines as surprise weapon.

Ive been watching these jobava vids for a while and i still suck at about 1150 elo. What ive noticed though is that Alex almost always sees what his opponent is going to do before he makes his move. I dont see that, i move and see what happens in response. I have a feeling this is what holds me back and not knowledge of openings

@37m38s, how is it so easy for you to not consider e5 from black which cuts the defense of the white rook?

Nice video.Can you make a speedrun playing KIA with white and Czech Pirc defense with black?
@AlexBanzea

That is on the list! Might be right after this speedrun. Might be the normal Pirc tho!

Last game when you played Bf4, I don’t think you mentioned your plan if he played e5, which looks like winning a piece. Black is so underdeveloped and without King safety that it seems intuitively W should still win, but that seemed B’s best try.

I've also spotted ...e5 winning a piece and set up the position for analysis. It's > +3, but requires precise play by white.

Okay I'll give it a few hours. My progress is kinda slow with the Ruy Lopez. It branches off into too many main lines worth hundreds of hours of theory each.
