Based on what you said, Your main problem is a weakened dermal epidermal junction. This mainly happens from sun exposure. You can have fine colume but the skin will still sag without a strong dej. unfortunately nothing fixes DEJ damage. Not even retinoids, niacinamide, vitamin c. Nothing. The collagen types there are rare. They are collagen 4,7,14 and fibronectin. These anchor the skin to your face. Once they’re gone, they’r wgone. This is why we keep telling people to wear sunscreen 🤡🤡🤡

Hi, can you speak to risks of Sculptra and Covid/immune issues? The owner of the medspa I was going to highly encouraged me to get Sculptra but after her client had a horrible nodule reaction after getting Covid post Sculptra, she told me now to avoid it. (I had long covid in late 2022 and my immune system is now a bit glitchy/over active to things like ligament PRP- it reacts strongly in the first 12 hours of treatment then calms down. My first PRP ligament treatment, I vomited for 3 hours after manifesting some kind of stomach bug as an immune response). So now I don't know if I am at higher risk of an allergic reaction immediately after Sculptra OR lets say I get covid in the 2 years after. Have you had this issue with any patients? Am bummed as I want to try Sculptra but also dont want to be in that 1% who gets a horrible reaction

Hi dr. I’ve been thinking about getting Sculptra, I’ve done a ton of research. I saw this article about a woman who got Sculptra and had clumps of Sculptra “move throughout her body.” She was bleeding out of open sores etc. It looked terrifying - but from my research of Sculptra it doesn’t seem to be accurate?

they wont do a damn thing lol. Just like putting collagen in cream and misleading people into thinking it will build collagen. It has to be injected into the skin. At the very least MAYBE microneedled but even so i doubt that too
