Hell yeah dude. I’m with you on pairing music up with a current read. Gotta find the right soundtrack.

Oh man, seeing Darth Maul Shadow Hunter here makes me so happy. I love that book so much. Michael Reaves is my favorite Star Wars author ever. May he rest in peace. His take on Star Wars is so classic, and so much fun in my opinion. So great. Can't wait to see what all you review in 2025!

My favorite book is The Underground Librarian.By Jennifer Ryan. That was good. I loved the community that I wanted to be part of. Have you read a book that has a community in it. Have done a good community for a booklist Thursday.

Darth Maul Shadow Hunter has an amazing audiobook read in its entirety by the voice of Maul himself Sam Witwer. Even if you’re not a fan of audiobooks I highly recommend checking it out. Sam does a great job elevating the material and makes it one of the most memorable Star Wars audiobooks. I’d love to see him do more especially The Force Unleashed and Lockdown.

I finished this audiobook this year as well. Sam’s reading was so good. I couldn’t imagine experiencing this book any other way.

Wow you read IT and 3 Ken follet books, and still managed to read 100+ in a year? Job well done! I struggled to get 50 in 😂 Pillars of the Earth was also my best read of 2024

Ok first off….i can’t believe you’ve read that many books this year (and last year). It doesn’t feel like it was that many. Secondly….i love that there are Star Wars books on the shelf behind you AT ALL TIMES. Great channel my friend. KEEP UP THE READING :):)

I’ve also heard a lot of mixed reviews about Silverblood Promise but actually look forward to reading this year!

Great choices! My best book of the year was The Count of Monte Cristo without doubt but Shogun and Tai-Pan by James Clavell were very close.

My favorite book this year was Demon in White. My least favorite was Children of Time. A lot of the books on your list I have on my 2025 TBR so looking forward to those

Historical Fiction is an interesting category and a label I tend not to use much. Is Lindsey Davis's Marcus Didius Falco series historical fiction or mystery/thriller/suspense? It certainly has elements of both, but for me, it fits more comfortably in the latter category. How about W.E.B. Griffin's many series set in and around WWII? For me, they're probably more similar to Clancy than to (say) Shogun, but opinions vary. Similarly, I think C.S. Forester's Hornblower series and Patrick O'Brien's Aubrey/Maturin series fit better with A. Bertram Chandler's Commodore Grimes series (SF). And Johnny Tremaine is a YA and fits better there (with Heinlein's Farmer in the Sky, say) than with Beach's Run Silent, Run Deep. And what about alternate history? (For me, that's its own category, but it arguably fits into historical fiction as well.) All of which is to say that I read a lot of historical fiction, but for me, it's not really its own category most of the time.

Do you have to read all of those Black Tide Rising books before you get to Mountain of Fire....it seems like it might be apart of a series but then again it seems like maybe they aren't really a series but more like a bunch of standalones with different authors...I don't know....have you read all the other Black Tide Rising books?
@jonathankoanАй бұрын
You don’t need to read the other books, it’s very standalone. I haven’t yet read the Black Tide Rising Books (though I plan to in 2025).
@ralferdhuetter519Ай бұрын
Boy, it would help so much if you could hold the books still or show the cover in the screen's corner, rather than shaking the books to and fro without giving us a chance to really see the books.

This is a really good suggestion! I hope you're open to taking it to heart. It really helps to be able to see the book cover without having to try to catch that one moment when the book is still. It's a little thing, but very helpful. Otherwise I enjoyed your list and even picked up A Low Country (first in the series) because of your recommendation. Cheers.
