I agree that AEA is about the best bang for your buck in the PCP game. I have the HPSS semi-auto I 25 caliber and the bullpup Challenger in 50 cal. That 50 cal is a beast. For my 357 though I went with the Benjamin bulldog, that gun has never let me down, never jammed, never misfires, just a tried and true PCP champ that never lets me down. I also agree that if I could only have one caliber I would probably go with 357 because it seems to be the universal for everything.

The Air Venturi Avenger is also a great deal if you need a .25-.22-.177 cal critter getter. AEA has the best value in big bore in my opinion being of you want .30 cal or bigger. Just keep in mind stealth and quietness…the bigger the bore the louder the gun from my experience. DonnyFL has an Emperor moderator that may help hush the bigger calibers some but they will not be as quiet as a smaller caliber at 900 FPS. The Challenger for me is the ticket for a big bore bullpup. .45 cal would be my choice but to each their own. Amazon has AC/DC portable compressors right now for under 180$. FX says their guns have to be worked with because they are fine instruments to get accuracy out of them. I don't want any of their videos made by anyone anymore. You are one of my favorites because everything you do is honest. And if anybody wants a great gun that is accurate and doesn't break that would be an aea. I must of lucked out I had a fx wildcat out of the box it almost stacked every round at 50 out of a .22 also had a $800 scope on it but had health issues and had to sell stuff off to pay bills. Still have my hpa pump also my scuba tank to do fills and wanting another pcp and for the price and good accuracy out to 100 this may be just the ticket

I forget which model mine is even called, but it's the FX bullpup. Thats what it is, the Wildcat MKIII. Extra short one, thing is such a small package. Shit was like 1600$'s though, without a scope or anything. There were definitely plenty that were more affordable, but I heard good things and it is quality made. It's also one of the "smallest" bullpup models I've seen. Everyone always get and talk about the FX Impact, but just really don't like the ones that have a big ass air tank on the front or back. An honestly it sounds like the Impact has me issues with it, cause it's more intricate or something idk.. They do have like the Benjamin Akela or I forget what is called, but that's a nice bullpup for way less.. An then I kind of cheaped out on the scope I bought, which was still 400$'s. I should get a bigger, better one. The slugs I've got are Daystate, I always hear people saying that the FX Hybrids are inaccurate. But I'd assume that they should work good out of an FX airgun. They are expensive as hell though too, the Daystate were like 20 or 25$'s for a can of 400.. Verse what, a pack of 20 FX Hybrid. I'm looking to get a .357 or a .30 cal air rifle though. But then I also really want one of the fully automatic ones, most of which are crazy expensive. Aside from like the Hatsan one I think.. But if this dude says his .357 model is shooting at 1050 fps, I've always heard that these large bore air rifles only shoot at around 800 to 850 fps.. So over 1000 fps would be pretty damn impressive.

The new challenger bullpups are awesome. The .50 cal makes over 600 ftlbs right out of the box with no modification. If you send it off for modification and tuning it can make 800+ ftlbs. AEA makes insane pneumatic weapons.

I get tired of even trying to explain how good the AEA brand is on a forum that I'm on but you're definitely right about just how reliably and well the AEA guns shoot. This year for deer I'll be using my AEA HP .457 MAX with my own cast slugs . . . the gun is simply amazing in my opinion, especially for the price.

Honestly 800-1000 for a hearing safe deer rifle is a pretty good deal. Cheapest you could do that in something like a 300 blackout which you'd be lucky to get around 500, 200 dollar tax stamp and then a suppressor which combined will put you over that 800-1000 mark easy. I'm going to try this.

That was partially why I got just a .22 cal air rifle, was because of the huge pellet / slug selection and availability. Come to find out you can find just about ANY and ALL the same pellets and slugs for a .25 cal.. Although I do really want a .30 or a .357 cal air rifle, so that's good to know that there are tons of pellets and slugs available for this as well.. Unless for some reason there are more and better selection for .357, then there are for a .30 cal. The .357 is pretty damn nice overall, I think my only determining factor between either getting a .357 or a .30 cal. Is going to be if whether I chose to buy one of the rather limited option, "fully automatic" pcp air rifles. Because obviously a .30 verses a .357 will be capable of holding more rounds. An a .25 cal even that much more, but I want at least a .30 cal size wise.

Hard to tell unless you probably test it but I saw Rick at Shoter 1721 shoot a 22 caliber FX impact and it penetrated 3/4 in of wood at 400 yds. I'm going to purchase a FX impact Mark 3 with a 600 mm Barrel slug power kit and FTX Barrel. The question I have is will this 30 cal be as accurate and also be able to penetrate 3/4 inches of wood at 400 yd or is the slug going to be too heavy and lose energy?

No 22 airgun comes close to a 22 rimfire. No way en̈ough power for deer, even at 50 yards. The high powered airguns approach a 38 special for power. Even his 357 (9mm) doesn't beat a 357 with a 6" barrel. If you want to shoot a deer at 400 yards, sorry, but you are going to have to get a powder burner. ​@surreallife777

@@MichiganAirgunner Although we live in Oregon, I'm a Michigander too BTW! How many shots per "mag?" (I'm assuming a mag is a magazine that holds multiple shots right?) We just got some land out here and there are a lot of deer and even elk sometimes. We want to grow all of our own food, and I figured why grow a cow when you can just hunt a deer? So call me crazy, but at my age I'm considering learning how to hunt! Learning a lot from guys like you online and these airguns really appeal to me, especially since I don't plan to go anywhere to hunt but just to hunt on my own property. So having access to electricity and refilling canisters, etc. won't be a problem. I know that this particular rifle won't work on elk, but if I really end up enjoying hunting and we see enough elk out here in the coming years, I can consider getting a higher caliber rifle. Also I really liked what you said about being able to hunt small game without pulverizing them with this one! There are a lot of rabbits out here too, so to have such a versatile rifle would be really useful. We'll also keep chickens and there are a lot of predators out here that this might come in handy for. Anyway, thanks.

Big bore bull pup is next for me. I’m currently using a Texan .457 with the carbon tank. Dropping deer out over 100yards is automatic. Only issue is with the Donny Emperor on it, it’s damn near five feet long.

The really good ones get that performance in a smaller package. Everything after the blast baffle should be asymmetric, but not alternating. I don't think the "common chamber" in these is helpful either.

Big question is the Aea challenger bullpup 50cal barrel diameter is 495 to 498 diameter so all mold I have found are 490 or 500 diameter,so you are purchase your slugs or casting them,hope any mold out there for 495 or 498

I don't have a 50 challenger yet so I can't give u a definite answer.. mr.hollow says .498 .. accuratemolds.com will custom make you a mold to any size you want. So if you casting your own I would buy the mold u want then size them down till u find the one that shoots best for your gun

I made a mould, , or had one made to cycle the magazine in our m50s from AEA... been meaning to 'say hello'.... so HELLO! i have something you migt be interested in getting from NOE since you talke about casting Bin and Terry i knew you working with, but now i have made a mould for ALL, OpenSource, it is 30 moulds in RG4 and 16 in RG2 - - the Five Gallon Bucket, you can do plenty with, OR shoot straight NO tumble... 100yard. It opens up like a BELL upon water impact 76yard jugs. the RF BT flies backwards the same as forwards, and at 100 yard. the Five Gallon HP i wanted, it does NOT TUMBLE< it hits HARD at 100yard... maybe i should send the info to you, if you like casting, Bin told me about you when we got our m50s to put up videos on... then i had to design a slug by NOE MOULDS for ALL of us, you cast, you like his moulds, i have 10% off coupon for you, DLS001 - also, i have plenty of ATN footage of 100 yard metal grouping... nice video and cool to hear your actual take on this caliber and the challenger, i have BIN through 16 of them thus far...

I'm still running the m50.. it's a great gun.. I'm casting a 165gr from accurate molds that works really well. I like to cast all my own big bore slugs. To me it's just fun to figure out what works and what don't.. then to get a deer with something you made is pretty cool... I'll have to check out your moulds some time.. right now I'm not casting a hole lot just because of how cold it is outside. Lol

ask myself "will this take a moose, bear or man"? I compare ballistics to that of a standard round in a pistol and research and study the success rate of kills. I take into consideration the shot placement, environment, distance and species. With the exception of the .22 caliber (which I know will take a moose at 59 yards) I choose barrel length, style depending on the situation. I've been looking at the .457 because I know I can get a moose within 25 if I'm patient.

Your backyard is just like mine except there's 58 SQ miles I can play in. We have beaver as pest's but their pelts are worth money and their meat is great slow roasted. The reason i was looking into that is because they have a hunters package that comes with a scope a snd tripod,also its regulated. Some of the videos ive watched it seems like the power drops fast. If you're looking for a good all around gun I would check out the HP max 35.. it puts out about 120fpe.. the budget 357 in this video would be good if u can find one.. if you're only looking for hog and deer I would check out a 457

Man I shot a monster buck with my AEA challenger 357. I was usein grizzly 356 slug. Freaking 30 yard shot. I heard it smack his ass had but I think I hit him in the shoulder bone. Never found him or any blood. It was raining and wet. This was the 1st deer I shot. I’m so upset. I went to the Benjamin ballistic tip. Haven’t seen any bucks again except small ones. I’m thinking of selling mine I think and getting the umerax hammer. What do y’all think. I’m sick. I got 7 more days of hunting season. The AEA upset me bad

I would get both.. 357 is more universal.. the hammer seems to be a great gun.. but I would try the heavier slugs see how they do.. iv killed deer out to 80 yards with this gun. It's all about shot placement

I forget which model mine is even called, but it's the FX bullpup. Thats what it is, the Wildcat MKIII. Extra short one, thing is such a small package. Shit was like 1600$'s though, without a scope or anything. There were definitely plenty that were more affordable, but I heard good things and it is quality made. It's also one of the "smallest" bullpup models I've seen. Everyone always get and talk about the FX Impact, but just really don't like the ones that have a big ass air tank on the front or back. An honestly it sounds like the Impact has me issues with it, cause it's more intricate or something idk.. They do have like the Benjamin Akela or I forget what is called, but that's a nice bullpup for way less.. An then I kind of cheaped out on the scope I bought, which was still 400$'s. I should get a bigger, better one. The slugs I've got are Daystate, I always hear people saying that the FX Hybrids are inaccurate. But I'd assume that they should work good out of an FX airgun. They are expensive as hell though too, the Daystate were like 20 or 25$'s for a can of 400.. Verse what, a pack of 20 FX Hybrid. I'm looking to get a .357 or a .30 cal air rifle though. But then I also really want one of the fully automatic ones, most of which are crazy expensive. Aside from like the Hatsan one I think.. But if this dude says his .357 model is shooting at 1050 fps, I've always heard that these large bore air rifles only shoot at around 800 to 850 fps.. So over 1000 fps would be pretty damn impressive.

The challenger pro is a regulated full size rifle. It puts out and 140fpe.. the challenger in this video is a bull-pup and it's putting out about 220fpe but it's not regulated so it gets a much lower shot count

@@一友难求不二人生 the challenger bullpup is really only good for 3 or 4 full power shots.. u can get more shots but u drop power on every shot.. the Challenger pro 35 will give you about 2 good mags before falling off the reg.. the only thing you can do is about more air maybe 4200 psi without valve lock or turn the reg down for more shots but less power

AL rifle doesn't have enough to knock down or range to hunt white tail dear I've seen them shot with a 30-06 and run for half a mile. A pellet gun just can't kill dear where you can retrieve them. You can wound them cause them to die infection. Mangle them up but it's not fit to hunt with

I've noticed that too just because this gun is made in China, which probably most guns except for the high-end stuff have a lot of Chinese parts also I'm sure, but I have an AEA Hp Varmint .25 that I have had for about two-and-a-half years only thing I had to replace was the valve pin and come to find out it was my fault they recommend not firing the gun under 1500 PSI I did and the pin broke ,easy fix I think it was about $20 other than that this gun has been nothing but fantastic, plenty of power and pretty amazing accuracy, I also have the Challenger in 25 I haven't shot that gun nearly as much as my HP but that gun is a crazy Powerhouse I would definitely recommend a AEA guns to anyone, and now with the amount of the variety of the different guns that they have come out with you could basically cover any caliber or configuration that you needed to cover whatever you're going to be hunting for
