Nice rig looks comfy and stable. Great price under 500!! I just picked up the old town Saranac 146 for 700 bucks. 14 1/2 feet and 36 inches wide. Just took my girlfriend out with my 80 pound German Shepherd. Put on a 40 lb thrust motor- feels like a torpedo going through the water turns like an airplane very cool. Cheers mate!

I put some oar locks on it and I can fly across the lake. This thing is very stable. It is just sooooo heavy to cartop. I'm going to try to put a small sail on this summer.

i really like these canoes i have a pelican and if it wasn't for the price i paid i would have bought one of those. ilike your using a kayak paddle so much easier imo. as for the wind going solo i think all canoes are effected the same way. oh and i would take a canoe any day over a kayak.

Just picked up this same canoe recently for my first boat. Wind was definitely blowing me around first time out, too lol. How are you transporting yours? Because this thing is a bear to load and unload from the top of my vehicle solo!
