The multper also snaps open much smoother than my surge. It’s a really great tool for the price.

My complements! These alternatives are great for folks who want to get into multitools & /or are on a budget & need all the tools offered for home or work such as the tool with the yellow cutters....a fine value...folks who have L tools could include this product as part of their kit...I like the black tool, a good backup...like the portable & compact crescent wrench...most useful...thanks...😊 ps...did you mean black friday?😊

Recently bought a Vevor 17in1 for my mobile bike repair kit for 17€. Since it had no bit driver it came with an adapter and a 1/4'' bit kit. It is suppose to have 440A steel with 54HC.

The swiss tech version surge clone also nice, though I really hate the sheath... I wonder if there is something I can do about it.

I wish Bibury and the other Wave/Surge clone makers would offer a bit extender like that included with the Multiforce. This bit extender has a ball detent to connect security to the 1/4" bit driver, and has a magnet in the other end of the extender, so it can use Wiha double ended bits or standard (single ended) bits. I'm surprised the Multiforce is the only one I've seen that includes such a bit extender. Have you seen this type of bit extender available for purchase separately? I think it would be useful to have, and it would work with most clones, other than those like the Gordon that use the Leatherman flat bit driver.

I was a dedicated Leatherman user for decades. I always chose the full sized models such as the Core and Supertool 300 because I always used belt pouches instead of pockets. I only learned of the Surge clones very recently. I have the Bibury, the Rocktol, and the Multper featured here. Because they all use a conventional hex bit holder instead of the proprietary flat bit holder of Leatherman I feel the clones are actually superior. Clearly better for price! The only downside of the clones I've experienced is that the T shank holder tends to snag on the belt pouch when pulled out. Currently I put a piece of tape over the protruding metal which seems to work. I fear Leatherman has become like Snap-on or Rayban; their brand name associated with value but a poor choice for value in light of much cheaper alternatives.

These look amazing, quick question, is the bit adapter from this tools compatible with the surge? for instance, could i take out the flat fit adapter from the surge and the other tool and swap them for a full size one?
@hvacbudget86009 күн бұрын
I don't think so without modding them. The pivot hole I believe is smaller or larger than the Surge. With enough modding it probably could work.

Hello,I have a surge,an now a Arc, where did you get the adapter for a scalpel holder,also been looking into pioneer multitool called nextorch mt 20 rescue tool,it has when you open for pliers shears,then while it's open unfold other handle to open up for pliers,I don't remember if the pliers are spring loaded but the shears are an also you get either stone wash finish or stainless or rescue red,they told me they are looking into doing a high vise yellow an also glow in the dark scales for fire fighters an first responders for everyday use emergency multitool,it does come with its pocket clip already, carrying case is decent an you can Mollie it too,an the other great selling point its only 109.00 dollars plus tax,so I'm looking into getting one to try an compare it too my surge an Arc both for different tasks, however the Arc has an advantage by one handing all tools an faster at get to the pliers,so we'll see, hopefully I can make a video

Price is a bit steeper outside the US. $20 USD shipping on something that's already $90 USD (when you don't have prime). Granted, it's still leagues better than the $230 USD for an actual Surge (from Leatherman's site) here in downunderland.
