You do know that Samsung buys the panels from LG so basically your buying just the branding of Samsung at a higher price which is ridiculous when it's really an LG

@peterock42 Samsung makes their own panels, QD-OLED is their own line up, Samsung display is the distributor.

Samsung has returned to OLED recently with its first QD-OLED TV launched last year and Samsung Display supplying OLED panels for Sony's first QD-OLED TV. Reuters reports that LG Display will supply 2 million OLED panels to Samsung in 2024, 3 million in 2025, and then 5 million in 2026.May 16, 2023

I like your thinking. Appreciate you looking at the QN90c. The gloss panel is everything to me. More gloss with hint of purple tells me almost everything I need. Most reviewers skim over the panel gloss level and picture detail. Oled is great too but seriously missing details so something to think of just like you pointed out. Thank you for your view and thoughts here!

I will not buy another OLED until a manufacturer changes the warranty to include burn-in issues. My 5 year warranty was useless. My TV started showing burn in images after 2 years. I Have never left it on solid images and used every trick I could find to avoid it. Including phase shifting. Buyer BeWare this is still a new technology with BUGS!

at 3:29, you can see how the oled is able to show all the stars in the night sky as bright as they want to be, while on the mini-led they are a lot darker.

Oh remember most maybe 90 percent needs to be calibration displays are already calibrated via software unless its a sony....

Really wanna get the X93L although it's kinda expensive but the QM8 doesn't seem like a bad deal. I've never had either brand but wanna get a new TV to pair with PS5. I'm still using my 10 yr old 1080p Vizio. My nearest Best Buy is probably 2 hrs away but there isn't a lot of options for checking out TV's where I live

The TCL QM8 looked amazing, it looked better than the X93L IMO, you can also order online and have the TV delivered to your place for free and they are very fast, check out the links in the description of the video.

Mini led and qled side by side to OLED at 65' in bloom and contrast levels are ridiculous. 77' and larger mini led tvs are okay, but smaller (65' is a big TV but still) they still struggle with full array local dimming really bad.

I tested the Sony X90L, X93L, A80L, and the Samsung S90C, and for me the S90C is the TV deal of the year. The A80L is also very good, but it doesn’t get that bright, and the 77 inch is $200 more than the 77 inch S90C. The X90L is also excellent for its price range, but I think even though the X93L had amazing color and more depth than the X90L, it’s still overpriced for what it is. If it were $2,000 instead of $2,500 for a 75 inch it would be competitive, but for $1,500 you can get the X90L 75 inch, $2,000 the 85 inch, there isn’t as big a gap between them as you’d think. But yes for me, the 77 inch S90C is the best tv I’ve personally ever seen and now ever owned, just incredibly sharp for everything, movies, sports, and video games are the best looking I’ve ever seen. I was coming from a Sony X90J too, so I’m not speaking as a Samsung fan, it was hard to leave Sony, but the S90C is just that good, I don’t even miss Dolby Vision.

The biggest discounts are usually on cheaper products, their top tier TVs don't get much of a discount, If the prices drop more in black friday, they will give you the difference so you don't return it, it works fantastic, I've done it before.

Looking for some guidance: I presently have a Samsung 75" UHD (UN75RU9000FXZA), connected to my Denon AVR-S750H receiver which I have connected my Fire Stick 4kMAX. As many user looking to get the most bang for my buck, yet want Quality! I am not a gamer, but may take advantage in the future and purchase a gaming console. I mainly watch my tv channels via a streaming app, as well as watch KZbin content and Prime video. Since BIG is the new norm, looking at either 85" or 98". Guidance Please!! The TV is a WOLED panel not QD-OLED but it seems to have all the other features like hdmi 2.1, dolby atmos, 120hz panel.
