A quick and easy recipe for guilt-free, delicious chia seed jam using fresh and healthy ingredients, including two superfoods: fresh or frozen berries and chia seeds. As a better alternative to store-bought, sugar-laden jellies, this jam is anti-inflammatory, easily digestible, and naturally sweet with honey or maple syrup.

perfect recipe he loves it and I add some cranberries and pomegrante seeds . we do not feel awful after eating this like we do when we eat store bought jelly and jams

Hi Margaret, that is an excellent question :) I haven't tried using stevia instead of maple syrup so I don't know what amount to recommend. But yes, it will work in the recipe. Let me know how it turns out for you :)

Have you made larger batches successfully that can be kept out of the refrigerator? Also, have you tried grinding the chia seed first?.

Hi Rosanne, great questions :) No, I haven't stored it at room temperature before. I haven't tried grinding the chia seeds myself but I've read that you can. That is a great idea if you don't like the 'seed' like texture.

I have learned that if you grind the seeds, you get more of the omegas out of them.

Can I add ground chia instead of whole seeds?
