You missed one of the main restaurants in East Dundee. The Anvil Club- on Meier St, near Diamond Jim's. High end restaurant which was a members only club since 1956 is now open to the public.

A great town (I live there). In addition to the great dining and drinking establishments, it's a great place for recreation. The Fox River Trail runs through the heart of town and provides many miles of scenic cycling, running and walking. The Fox River provides kayaking and fishing opportunities. Raceway Woods is a mile away for awesome mountain biking and hiking. The town has weekly outdoor events all summer long.
