I bought mine a few years back, wore it for an hour and now I use it to play Russian Cosmonaut with my kids.

What a happy coincidence that this video is released the same day that the Deluxe version of the Knightsbridge Chin Strap I ordered from Larry's new website came. The deluxe has holes cut out for the ears. I had been using the regular version of the Knightsbridge for the last 10 months successfully and will be using the deluxe for the first time. By the way, I use it with the Bleep Eclipse, so I would still recommend it to nasal cpap users.

I've been using the double band chin strap for about a year. I ordered the XL and it was too large and I have a big head. The medium size is perfect!! No more mouth leaks with my full face mask.

I've tried several CPAP chin straps and the Knightsbridge one was the best commercially made mask I tried. But to be honest, if you can sew (even if your sewing is ugly - it just has to hold), just buy some 2" wide elastic and some velcro, remove the brim from a ball cap (I use a seam ripper), and sew on the strap, custom positioned to fit your specific noggin and jaw. For a custom fit at a cheaper price, it's hard to beat! Just use a few pins to hold it until you find the right positioning and then sew it down for good. You ain't building a space shuttle, it's just a strap on a brimless hat. I'm all thumbs so, If **I** can do it, you can do it.

Yes, whatever works for folks. The issue with a baseball cap may be that because it doesn't extend down the back of the head, it may slip forward over the course of the night. But you can possibly fix that by adding an additional strap that goes around the lower back of the head ...
@JDHoodАй бұрын
@@LaurenceShaw-iq9mk I've found that it depends on where you mount the velcro for the strap. If you have that correct, the cap stays put and your jaw is pulled up instead of back. If the velcro sewn to the cap is horizontal, it provides ample room to adjust positioning until you get it "just right".
@LaurenceShaw-iq9mkАй бұрын
@@JDHood So what you're saying is you move the attachment location back a bit to lessen the forward-rotating torque produced by the strap (at the cost, but not too much cost, of less vertical lift). How big is that "just right" positioning tolerance?
@JDHoodАй бұрын
@@LaurenceShaw-iq9mk For me, it's pretty much one position, using a 2" wide elastic strap. Like riding a bicycle, it's more of a "you'll know it when you feel it" thing. I'm presuming everyone's head & jaw can be different and require a few tries to find it. Luckily, the velcro allows it. Once you get it, you don't have to move it and just pull the strap under your chin to take it on/off.

I highly recommend the Knightsbridge Chin Strap. It's legit. Any you get off amazon is garbage, the angle pushes the jaw back into toward throat, closing it some -- harder to breath, defeating the whole purpose of it the dang thing This strap is the only one that lifts straight up without my jaw closing my throat. It's expensive compared to other chinstraps, but it actually works and is made of high quality. 👍

Huh. Glad to hear that the alleged true owner was able to resolve his alleged issues and move forward with selling his alleged product again. In my opinion, it is an allegedly very good and useful chinstrap, one of which I am allegedly very glad to have purchased from him prior to alleged incident. And by the by, it does seem to be quite the co-inky dink that you too were allegedly stricken with issues doesn't it? Hmmmmm....

The only problem is is that for those of us who want to wear a nasal we want to do it for two reasons- One of them being not having all that headgear over our hair . This chin strap defeats the purpose. Might as well wear full headgear

Not a fan of this chinstrap (though I think I have the counterfeit version....not sure they're really any different but I'd be willing to try it out). I absolutely hate how the side where the straps are fixed actually cover up the corner of my eyes. There is no way to adjust it where it doesn't. I've found that the Pap Cap by Pur-Sleep to be much more comfortable and it actually stays put throughout the night!!
@LaurenceShaw-iq9mkАй бұрын
Hi hyoctane. If it covers the sides of your eyes, you may have a too-small size cap. We do have a counterfeit recovery program if you want to explore further ...

A Deluxe chin strap is way better IMPO. Been using it on patients for 20 years.
@FreecpapadviceАй бұрын
That one isn't bad in a lab setting, but most people use it at home without the back of the head strap and it ends up sliding forward....so then they position it on the crown of their head and pull their jaw back. The Philips Premium Chinstrap is also good....designed in a similar way but the rear strap isn't taken off because it's pretty much unusable without it.
@VisnuGDАй бұрын
It's useless. The side that doesn't have the straps is loose and and gets in your eyes, the cap falls forward during the night so you basically have eye blinders while your CPAP fell off already or is leaking like the BP oil leak. It's useless tried both sides, both have the same issue 🤷
@KPHVACАй бұрын
I've noticed the same thing with the cap leaning forward. I ordered a smaller size chin strap and I tightened up the back strap. The smaller double band chin strap works for me now.
@VisnuGDАй бұрын
@@KPHVAC didn't get what you meant, besides what you did might help not let the darn cap slide forward but that flap that stays open and inside of your eye " on the side where the Velcro is" there's no way to have it flatten to the side of your head like the side of where the straps are on once they get strapped that side it's tight on the side of your head, the other it stays kind of "open" so covers your eyes it's a mess
@FreecpapadviceАй бұрын
The velcro strap needs to be tightened to prevent it from sliding forward like you describe. In the video when I turn to the side you can see I DON'T have it tightened like it should be. That would allow for it to slide forward.
@KPHVACАй бұрын
@@VisnuGD At the back of the cap there is a strap that you need to tighten. When you have it on the back strap is at the back of your neck. Tighten that up first. If it still slides forward too easily you probably need a smaller one.
@VisnuGDАй бұрын
@@Freecpapadvice it won't stay still anyhow. I paid for both sizes thinking one was too big or the other too small but same issue
