I would def recommend samples packs. If you get cheapo bundles, you’re stuck with 20 of the same thing, and you might not like them. I think the key to starting out is to try a little of everything, which is also why I think going to a brick and mortar cigar shop and asking for suggestions is a great option.

I agree. I've been smoking a couple of years now. We always need to support our local cigar shops and fortunately mine in my area have really good guys that work there and have a lot of expertise. Personally my favorite bundle is an Oliva bundle if I order online.

Boy I wish I had this kind of advice at my fingertips 25+ years ago when I first started out. While I've been smoking periodically for that time, I still find these kinds of videos-for-beginners extremely valuable. In the din of cigar hype from retailers (I could wallpaper a house with the magazine catalogues I get), it's refreshing to hear simple tips that you won't get from retailers. I indeed wished when I started out to just go for sample packs. That is the way to go when you're starting out.

@@SippersSocialClub Cheapies mostly: Tabamex Lonsdale Naturals (I'm a growing fan of Mexican cigars) Cuban Delights Robusto Sumatra Cosechero Churchill Maduros (I think, they were a gift) 829 Churchill Maduro (another gift) Factory Smokes Toros (another gift) La Aroma de Cuba (the only naturals I have) Mr. B Magnum Candelas (pretty green and not bad) Various others I think if I pursue a non-cheapie, I may shoot for Te Amo. Had a few years ago, were very good. May go for Oliva too. Would pursue Avo but they're always priced just inches out of my reach.

@@SippersSocialClub Cheapies for the most part. Tabamex (I'm into Mexican cigars now), Cuban Delights (pretty decent cheapies), La Aroma De Cuba, Mr. B Candelas, and various others. The boveda packs are awesome, any air tight containers can do, i opted for the tall ones, hols about 25 ish with the humidity pack. I suggest watching videos, great resource and ppl like you do well. Sample packs and the bundles are good choices, dont spend crazy money starting out, find what ya like first get your profile and ring gauge dialed in, then start ramping up in the journey. God bless

Great advice on the low-coast humidor set-up, I think I’ll do something similar. For buying cigars as a beginner (which I am), I would say sample packs are the way to go. They’re fun and educational.

My fave bundle cigar is El Titan de Bronze short filler Toro bundles. They’re fantastic and rolled great. They smoke quick but are such a tasty and fantastic product. I’m not crazy about sample packs but any packs with Perdomo or JC Newman are the best brands to explore and BEST value per dollar. Side note… buy Ferio Tego too, insane blends and diverse lineup with many vitolas for anything you wanna try.

I got a 35 cigar sample pack of AVE Marie cigars for $110. I thought it was a decent deal on some good cigars. I’m just getting into cigars and my first cigar was an Ave marie I had with some guys from church and I really enjoy it. Now I’m set up. I order the plastic tub and packet as well.

Be sure and get the right size of whatever you choose to store your cigars in. Should ideally be able to fill it up at least 1/2 way but not have to fill it all the way to the top. A nearly empty humidor makes it harder to keep proper humidity, just like a empty freezer has to work harder since there is nothing to keep residual coldness in it when it cycles on and off.
@beaulindemann73925 күн бұрын
I went into cigars deep, electric humidor, 2 choice cigar hauls = 175 top brand cigars, came out to about a 875.00$ give or take, but I have been waiting 2 years to do it.

One thing i would recommend is buy the purest butane you can buy. I see alot of people complaining that their lighters stopped working suddenly, alot of the times its the butane thats messing up the lighter

Do you just throw the cigars into the Tupperware so they can freeroam in there with the humidity control pack or do you use one of the cheapo Amazon boxes for storage and put that into the Tupperware
@SippersSocialClub6 ай бұрын
As long as everything is in the Tupperware with a humidity pack you should be fine. Loose cigars are ok, or if you buy a box, keep the whole box in the Tupperware

@@SippersSocialClub i have heard that the glass tupperware containers with the sealed snap lid work best. does it really matter plastic or glass?
