Coachman is not particle board, it’s solid cabinets that was painted on that model. Other models have a light cherry stain. All made in an Amish factory. You should have opened the drawers. They ARE NOT VINYL WRAPPED. Also, the Era has Techoform full laminate cabinets just like my 2020 Winnebago Horizon 42Q. Same laminate put into European yachts. Your comparison should have been the Coachman Galleria vs the Winnebago Era. The ERA MRSP is over $200,000 & Nova MRSP is about $170,000 BTW, the ERA has been discounted and not available for 2024. The NOVA is a direct competitor to the Travato. That would be a more appropriate comparison. The Nova would win hands down. But my guess you already knew that. Do one with NOVA vs TRAVATO. I guess it’s a no brainer. Go to a dealer and walk thru each within minutes of each other. You will be surprised Also, why throw a video out there with misinformation on the cabinets, my guess you never even walked thru the coachman. Poor quality video channel here.

If they used all flexible tubing, would it just be easier to change out the connections/ fittings, instead of the tubing?

Why not compare a Winnebago ERA to a Coachmen Galleria or a Winnebago Travato to a Coachmen Nova? Check out the cabinets in the Coachmen. That is painted wood. They also have stained cabinets. The drawer boxes are dovetailed joints.

I own a 2015 Winnebago Via on a Sprinter chassis, and a local auto/truck service center (as in big trucks, emergency service calls, etx.) services my rig at a much lower cost than the Mercedes dealer. So it's worth checking with truck repair facilities if you own a Sprinter chassis.

I like the head to head videos as I can get the low down on multiple units at the same time. (You asked in an email I got this morning). Having said that a deeper dive into individual units would be nice rather than the same info that was in the head to head vids. Thanks!

I appreciate your reviews. The cabinets in the Coachmen are made with wood by Amish furniture makers... however. I don't like them. I think they're chintzy & rather plain looking. We test drive coachmen just this past weekend & marked it off of our list it creaked & rattled as we drive down the road. It was brand new & the faucet sprayer would not return to its position, the window was jerky as we tried to open it, the blind would not pull down smoothly & the gender in the back tire well was plastic & falling off already. The salesperson acted as if these issues weren't a big deal & we're"normal". Nah, we're looking further. We have midwest & grech to look at. 😅

Now let’s compare apples to apples. Get your hands on a pleasure way on tour 2.2 and a coachman Beyond 22C. They are both on ford chassis and they both are miles apart when it comes to fit and finished.

Thanks for doing this! I’ve been looking at Class B or B+, but leaning toward B+. I recently saw the Noovo (class B) & liked it the best, but now am less keen on it because it’s on the Dodge Ram. My favorite for a long time as been the Coachmen Crosstrail 22 or 23 XG because of layout & storage. So if you ever have a chance to review those, that would be awesome! Love your videos.

I’m intrigued with Noovo also, but my current favorite is AEONrv.

I’ve noticed you don’t investigate the important parts we can’t see like floor and roof sheathing. Some Coachman trailers simply use styrofoam subfloors that buckle after a few years normal use.

Can you do a review / comparison on a “Leisure Travel Van - Unity Murphy Bed Lounge” built in Manitoba, Canada ? They call it a class C but maybe a B+ in some conversational circles, then again I’m hearing there’s no such thing as a B+, it’s a B or a C.

Been seeing vids on 2024 winnabago class B's having cabinets that just strut close, being a concern that wont hold stuff inside from falling out in travel. Something else to add to the list lol🍻

I think you put out some great content and I get alot of value from your work. Thank you for that. I have not subscribed yet but I will if you will change a couple of things. First I'm pretty sure it is Coachmen and not Coachman. Also I believe the Astoria is not made by Coachman, I think as others have commented it is made by Dutchmen. Might seem like nitpicking but goes along way to reinforce your professionalism to get those things correct.

Where do I start? You were wrong on the Coachmen cabinet's construction and by a mile. You omitted that the Promaster transmission was replaced with the new 9 speed. The flex plate issue was on the 62TE, not the newer ZF9 build under license. Of course if it were a major issue on the ZF9 then one would assume the same issue for Honda Ridgeline, Nissan Pathfinder and various Jeep models which all use varients of this 9 speed. As far as plumbing the Coachmen example was a pinch fitting inside the wetbath. Not many wetbaths would use anything different given a leak there just goes down the drain. Did you look inside the compartments where the lines run off the tank and Truma? The lopsided comparison of Mercedes based discontinued Winnebago to a Coachmen Nova instead of against the Travato; this review was simply one showing a lack of homework in your analysis.

Concerning plumbing, I sure hope customers voice their frustration to Winnebago dealerships, who then relay it to Winnebago. Q: “Why aren’t you selling more?” A: “Because plumbing is terrible and you are doing nothing about it.”
@2skyp7 ай бұрын
I don't know, Jacob. When you mention Winnebago I get excited and disappointed at the same time. And I like both types of reviews, the single and the Head-to-head reviews. Do I have to choose? If you are trying to streamline it, go with the Head-to-head reviews. You get two for one.

I wouldn’t buy any RV on a Ram pro master van. They have very low reliability rating. There are many van conversion companies that give you options on how your van is built and the materials used. You can ask how they plumb their conversions. Your dealing with small shops and not large corporations that build their stuff one way and give you no choice. I would like to see you get a hold of one of these conversions and review it.

Best Class B RV? Neither of the two units reviewed. Just a sad assessment on the state of US RV manufacturing. Benchmarking to a Class B with a history of high quality would have increased the value of the review.
