Great review Saumya. Now Siemens do have a heat pump dryer. They also have tumble dryers that consume high energy. Voltas erco is not available currently would you recommend the Siemens 2nd choice of yours in an enclosed area? Will the clothes be 100% dry with no need to hang them on the clothes line at all?

Hi @Abm - sure, usage videos are available when I have the product. Most of these products have anti-wrinkle. But inspite of that, will require some amount of ironing as it is not completely anti-wrinkle.

Hi, Mam, I am a Mumbai resident & bought Samsung 100% washing machine in 2012. It is imported by Samsung & launched in India in 2012. It has 100% dryer program, which dries cloths & you can directly put it in to cupboard. Though I run this program while the machine was new. It runs more than 3 hour & clothes dried completely, no need to hang on hanger. But as I said it is more than 3 hours run, I did not used it again. Rest the washing machine is superb & since 2012, it is working hassle free & not even single problem arises. Till today it is in running condition. Now, since there is lot of new technology incorporated in washing machines, I want to buy latest one. But, I dont want 100% dryer function in it. I am OK with dry function, where cloths are just dampness & will dry within 3 hours on hanger after washing. As I am staying in Mumbai, the climate is humid. Even in winter climate hardly down under 15 degree. So, 100% dryer is useless for me. So, why should I pay extra for the function which I am not going to use? I want to know is there any washing machine without 100% dryer program? And has best quality body / less power consumption with latest functions, like Quick mode or pause & load laundry etc. In Samsung which I am using all these functions are there. Our Washing machine is weighted about 77 kg & has a load capacity of 8 kg. Which has highest rpm of 1600. Has a Stainless Steel drum. All Quick mode / Rinse /Spin / woolen /cotton etc option are there. Please suggest. Thank you.

Hi Shivani! I personally use a washer dryer - more from a convenience and aesthetic point of you (by not air drying laundry). It is definitely not eco friendly. Infact, many parts of Europe are moving away from dryers to air drying.

I am concerned about the longevity and service as dryers are relatively a new offering from both Samsung and LG. Whenever I contact their customer care center, they have no idea about dryers, they do not know about their electricity consumption.

Good morning, I'm not satisfied with bosch washer dryer 9/6 kg bought in August 2022, in the sense of towels remaining dirty otherwise overall satisfied. Tried laundry stripping etc but to no avail shall I buy a top loader and keep this only for drying and washing other clothes or do you have any other suggestions

Finally I did go for the Samsung 10.5Kg /7 Kg Washer Dryer from Croma. With Amazon ICICI c.card no cost EMI, I could get it in 57K at home. It is our 3rd washing machine and so far it is good except when I do drying at max capacity (5-7Kg) the clothes come out all heavily wrinkled and crumpled Few cons of dryer is that nylon/polyester straps and drawstring from cotton half-pants turn solid plastic and elastic from undergarments loosen thereby permanently damaging those in both cases. Jeans was so heavily crumpled that it had to be ironed with a lot of water sprayed on it

Hi Arghya, separate is better - you can fit in more quantity (for example - in a washer dryer of 7-5 kg, you can only fit 5 kg for drying), less wrinkling and more energy efficient too compared to a washer dryer. In my mind, it finally comes down to space and/or budget constraints why one would choose a washer-dryer instead of a separate washing machine + dryer. I bought a washer dryer due to space constraint.

Hi! Fading - not always if you follow best practices of the cloth (wash inside out, and don't put in dryer if the clothing instruction says so). Shrinking - pure cotton and some types of denim could shrink. I have not faced it too much, maybe in a few.

We have a Siemens iQ700 washing machine and dryer purchased 5 years ago. By far the worst of the worst experience wrt to service by siemens in mumbai. My first Siemens was in 1997, a WM1000, but will never recommend a siemens to anyone in India.
