They are talented and have a good sound. But all these "California" bands who are so self obsessed about 'So-Cal' get old so fast. I have friends from So-Cal and its all they ever talk about. They really do get old fast by only having one theme. Music and creativity really do suffer when you choose to be stuck in such a bubble.

Around the time you wrote this comment , like 8 or 7 years ago , BestCoast played a show at a tiny bar in the middle of the Southern California desert , close to Joshua Tree .. I took my daughter who was 10 at the time .. we got to meet Bethany , and she was really nice and chill .. but Bob actually hung out with us and answered all our stupid questions he must get asked all the time .. he seemed genuinely happy that my daughters first real show was theirs , and she got some good pictures with him and a shirt.. she still has the set list from that show as well .. they were really cool people , and they made my daughters first show / concert really special .. we’re still fans of this band to this day ..

No, a hi quality MP3 you wont be able to differentiate from a CD. Do the test yourself if you want. You can compress a track a bit without noticing a difference. I've done it, and I can't tell. Maybe your ears are more refined.

Yes, actually millions of CDs are still sold each year ... And of course, on a good system and with a little practice, you can tell the difference between a CD and a mp3 ! Mp3s are cool if they're good enough for you, but some of us just want more sound quality. Plus actually owning something physical, supporting the artist, etc.
