You need to have a brilliant academic record. Preferably 9.5+ or atleast 9 CGPA is expected. You need to have excellent knowledge of ML, probability, statistics, coding skills, knowledge of finance. Along with it, you will have greater chances if you have some amazing projects, try to aim for research internship in preferably foreign universities in a domain related to ML or finance. Basically you need all your stats to be maxed out. I'm from a tier 1 college and I am saying this from what I have heard from people who have cracked HFTs.

That's all a sham, even after checking all requirements for these service based companies you'll get their mid tier package, almost no one gets prime package, Capgemini visited our campus and I aced all their tests to be eligible for 7.5lpa but was eventually offered 5.75.

the data is outdated- freshers at mnc/unicorns such as Salesforce, MSFT, ZOMATO, OCI make minimum 18-25 as BASE, plus you have equity+variable+JB, making it minimum 30-35LPA

Outdated stats for almost all of the jobs. Pay ranges mentioned are just for base (even then wrong by a big margin for everything other than Microsoft), Total Compensation for Google comes down to 35, Amazon around 28, Wells Fargo around 33, Zomato around 29, and so on (College tier does not really affect these numbers by a big margin. WLB reviews are also incorrect to some extent. Zomato has a pretty bad wlb in the recent times. 3 out of 5 seniors who went there, left within a year due to 10-12 hour workdays, 6 days a week. Please fact check information before making a video.

Please mention , that , hfts like graviton , optiver take not just from tier 1 colleges , they specifically take top iits cs and at least mnc or ece/ee given that their credentials are like 8.5+ cgpa along w good cp skills (I've heard from them solving aptitude problems in real quick time) , because that's what eventually you'll have to do trade bulk deals in short time given the stock raises by 0.3-0.7 ( just an example) but since the quantity is huge, it makes a lot of profit in seconds. And this is just not implemented through algorithmic trading but also with applying that short time exam temperament skill which is quite stressful , but that's why you are paid that much to sit in front of big screens in companies like citadel, analyse those with ur strong knowledge of statistics, maths and finance , use the large capitals of company and make that profit by doing hundreds of bulk deals, win in those trades 7/10 times at least..

I have a burnt out question for everybody here i'm preparing for front end development and i'm completed the base that is html,css,js and want to move on to react now but the thing is that i've completed js and i understand all the concepts and also done 30+ projects following through tutorials and applying them segment by segment in my vs code and the projects works fine but when it comes to the total self made projects then i'm not able to do it why and i try it so hard to do it but then i fell worst burnt out and quit thought, Should i jump on react and know the all react components and fundaments coz my priority is to getting a job ASAP , it is possible to get a job to the way i think . please give me the best advice existed i researched it too lot in quora also still puzzeled in the nest. hope manyones read it and guide me . i know it's a bit long write but i'm so thankful of you if you take me out of it🙂.

Harkirat the thing what you don't consider is that these companies don't visit campus other than top colleges. I am a slightly above average student but my parents never allowed me for coaching I self studied and got a decent government college. I have good achievements 4 star on codechef, good global ranking even double digit rank in codechef. I have projects based upon webrtc, sockets which when I showed to employee of Google complimented me. But still when I applied even for 3-4 lpa companies were like we are not hiring. I applied for more than 200-300 companies and I got only 2-3 responses which didn't even reverted back after sometime (asked their employees they were ghost hirings to save tax or something idk). At the end tcs came to rescue gave jobs to over 40k students when no one was hiring candidates like me who are way above average so stop this comparisons and hype and teach something valuable so that people who genuinely put hard work can get hired instead of insulting them.
