I’m right here with you. Im a 60 year old man that has had all my meals made for me by my wife, Now I get home 3 to 4 hours before my wife… so for the passed 3 years I’ve been doing the cooking and everyone loves it. Today Saturday March 16th I’m making corned beef and cabbage for the family. This woman preparing the food today inspired me to make this meal. Thank you! Muchas gracias y bendiciones.

Just happened on you today, and I must say that your meal looks fabulous. I like the tip about putting the cabbage in at the end. I have never tried it that way, but it makes sense to keep it from falling apart. The beer and the mustard were a surprise as well. This looks so yummy. Love listening to your voice as well. I've cooking corned beef by every method imaginable and per my experience the pressure cooker is the best. Rinse well to remove extra salt, pressure cook for 75-90 minutes. Remove from cooker, then pressure cook the vegetables.

It’s 4:45 am on Halloween and I just got your recipe going in the crockpot. I will be transporting this meal a hour and a half away to my son and daughter in laws taking my grandsons 5 yr. (He truly thinks he is Spider-Man and flings his hand at everyone with his imaginary web) and my 18 months old.lil pumpkin Trick or treating along with my nieces’s family although they are vegan they usually bring their own dish. I didn’t have spicy mustard so I just used stoned ground mustard. I have made this dish several ways and My brother made one time and served it with Thousand Island dressing- It surprised me as the flavors really complemented each other. I asked him for the recipe and he couldn’t find it and that was how I stumbled upon your channel because his tasted like it was cooked with a spicy mustard. 8 hours can’t seem to come fast enough! Let you know how it compares. TYFS! Happy Halloween 🎃

JUST A TIP .... to save you frustration in Crock Pot cooking while you are gone for hours - THE ELECTRONIC controlled type of Crock Pot units will default to off ..... if power is interrupted for a minute or even seconds .... and while you lose the food if early on in the 4 or 8 hours you have selected before leaving ! To avoid that possibility = USE THE OLDER MECHANICALLY SWITCHED ON/OFF units with knob for power on & one for Low or High setting of heat. This will return to cooking status as set in such a power outage or blip off. I have both but unless home for the duration I NEVER USE THE ELECTRONIC ! jj

Thank you for this Dyvonne, I usually just throw everything in the crock pot and let it cook while I'm at work...mmmm nothing like coming home to hot corned beef & cabbage, then throw some jiffy corn muffins in the oven and you got a dinner for kings. Every year, we have a family tradition (my grandma is Norwegian) that if you have corned beef & cabbage on New Years, you'll have luck the whole year through. It might seem like a superstition, but I've never had a horrible year when I have had it with grandma. But the years I was out of state and couldn't, were some of my worst years ever.

So I’m going to share my best corned beef recipe, 1/4 cup light brown sugar, dont wash the corned beef 2 tablespoons of McCormick pickling spice one onion cut in half peeled. Black pepper 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinager, i put it on at 8:30am by 2:00pm its so tender I use the broth to cook vegtables carrots cabbage and potatoes. Till fork tender. Cook covered on the stove on med heat. The flavor is amazing everyone loves my corned beef. Give it a try. Just cover the meat with water. Watch it should be enough water. ❤❤❤❤❤

I had my bowl(s) of corned beef and cabbage a couple of hours ago. I found myself drooling over that corned beef as you sliced it! Whew, I could eat a crock pot full of that stuff. Well done video. Well done, indeed.

You have a wonderful, encouraging voice. Thank you so much. I want to include my favorite Irish ☘️ prayer-it always makes me laugh. 😅 May those that love us, love us, & for those that don't love us, may God turn their hearts, and if he can't turn their hearts, may he turn their ankles so we know them by their limping.
