AB does it all! I did a KZbin search for "slow cooker corned beef" and low and behold at the top of the list was AB--a source I trust. I have been following his recipes for some time now and they never fail.

I’m with ya too, Mike! The first video that popped up was AB’s recipe. I’m making this TODAY!, LOL. He makes it easy, and very easy to follow. The only time I eat corned beef is a couple months around March when corned beef goes on sale. I think I’m gonna get me a couple more and freeze them for later during the year. AB makes it easy so, what the heck, why not! I do have to admit, though, when he opened this video with his comment about his previous recipe on southern fried cabbage, he had already had my attention! Thanks AB! I’m a new member! Can’t wait to see the rest of your videos. I’m a big guy so his videos are great for me!

I'm famous around here for my corned beef. What I do is take 4 -6 cups of water depending upon size of the meat and place in large stock pot. I then add 3 tablespoons of pickling spice to the water and bring to a boil and do so for app 5 minutes then I lower to simmer for one hour. I then strain the water to gather all the small spice pieces out of the stock I have made and return to the pot. Then I place the meat and add one med size onion at that time bring to a boil then lower to simmer for no less than 4 hours. I then add carrots. I now use baby carrots as they are fast and bite sized and I love carrots cooked with the meat and this spicy stock so I will always do at least 4 lbs worth. Once carrots are about half way cooked I add potatoes and a prepared veggie stock about 4 cups worth and bring back to a boil then simmer till potatoes are done. I then removed all meat and veggies from pot place in covered pan to a warm oven as I then add my cabbage and another onion to the stock and and cook such till tender about 30 minutes or there about. Serve with butter and horseradish having medium heat to it.

I put a half a bottle of beer to mine last night with a cup of broth. The veggies and the steam from the slow cooking in a crock pot produces more liquid. That broth is so comforting!

Literally just got done eating dinner on st Patrick’s day using this recipe. I’ve personally never cooked corned beef n cabbage before but I’ve had it several times/ways. Holy moly was this the BEST I’ve ever had in my life (50) my wife was skeptical about the carrots and bay leaves but I’ll be damned if she didn’t go back for seconds! Ty for the level up and I’ll never eat it any other way again!

Wow! I came from a predominantly Irish family and this is the closest to the Corned Beef & Cabbage recipe passed down for countless generations. You’re the only one I’ve seen use bay leaves, onions, garlic and chicken broth other than my family. The only difference is that we do it on the stove top with homemade chicken stock and add a generous dollop of real butter at the end. (I’m actually making it now for St. Patrick’s Day dinner tomorrow.)

We made a horsey sauce to go with it with sour cream, horseradish, a tad apple cider vinegar, pepper, and very small amount of mayo. This recipe and that sauce made for an outstanding dinner. Hey AB, huge fan of yours . I've been doing St. Patrick's Day CnB for the past 15 years at my house. I do 15 lbs every year. 1 year I did 3 different kinds. They were boiled, baked and crock pot. I split them up and had everyone take a piece from each. Everyone at the Table picked the boiled one as being the best tasting, without telling them which one was cooked a different way. The One baked was way too salty, the one in the crock pot was not as tender and the one in the water was the biggest hit. I see all these people trying to invent new ways to cook it on KZbin, nothing beats the way it was meant to happen. 4 hours simmering, last hour, cabbage potatoes and carrots.

Two of my favorite things!! This is so easy!! I am definitely adding this to my rotation. Yes I learned from you to always use broth instead of water. Adding this to my grocery list !

Me too as my mom did. We are from an Irish-American family although sometimes we do salmon as that’s really Irish.

Broth sounds good, but I always find corned beef wen I cook it w water is always very salty imho,so I am hesitant, but tempted.....might add beer instead😂

Your recipes are excellent! I've literally loved every single recipe of yours that I've made. And I was a sous chef for 6 years so I know how to cook. But I genuinely enjoy your style of cooking and the way you keep my sister and I interested. You're definitely a really smooth talker and we're always entertained while we're in the kitchen cooking together (as a family should), cooking, and listening to your recipes on your KZbin channel. So thank you. Also, I can tell that you're the type of man who is respectful, has values, virtue and morals, and you truly understand the importance and the value of food and the relationship we have with it as human beings. Food can teach you so much! When you begin to understand food, you will see that food is history, culture, a sense of family and community- it brings us together! Its also an art and a science - it definitely has the potential to keep us on our toes and teach us a lesson in improvisation. That's how I conceptualize the art and science of cooking. I feel like you're most def the type of guy who understands this as well. Thank you for your aw videos and recipes. Enjoy your Saint Patrick's day, and steer clear of us bloody Irish 😀 We drink too much and we have the tendency to convince others to drink excessively also! But we always come correct with some good old fashioned fun, which I think the world desperately needs right now more than it ever has. Thanks again and may you be blessed!

I've never made corned beef before so I bought one and just watching videos on here to see how other people do it. This is the best video I've found so far. Also the only one who has a preseasoned chunk of meat like what I got from the store. They didnt have any with the little packet. Hopefully this evening I'll have an awesome dinner thanks to you.

Almost 4am! Bought all the ingredients a couple of days ago. I was up watching movies so I was like, "Heck, let me just start on the corn beef in the crockpot for now and chop up the veggies." Can't wait to have this around lunch! Thanks AB!!

I’m 1/2 Irish and I actually make a variation of this at least once a month, it’s so delicious 🤤 I used to slow simmer it on the stove but then I tried cooking the corned beef in the slow cooker and never went back to babysitting it lol Great video as always!

OMG, I made it yesterday and it turned out excellent!!! I have NEVER liked to cook, but I ran across your channel recently and decided to give your recipes a try. (I think this was my third so far; all were great!) What I like most is the simplicity because I am a true fan of the "set it and 4get it" mentality. One pot/one pan dishes are right up my alley! LOL Then, the way you break it all down and explain everything actually has fueled a spark in me to MAKE me even want to cook! I plan on making quite a few more of your recipes that I see. So, AB, thank you so much for what you are doing and keep up the great work! (Oh yeah, I don't own a crock pot, but I'm omw to the store now to purchase one for your beef and broccoli crock pot recipe that I want to make. Look at you ... got me over here WANTING to cook)!!! YAAAASSSS!!!!
