2:49 I would recommend Malaysia to you. It has investment potential in real estate and infrastructural developments, especially considering it is right next door to Singapore. If Singapore is getting very expensive for you to live in, then you can choose to live in the state of Johor while you commute to Singapore for work. Maybe you could even want to open prestigious academic institutions to educate and train the young. Meanwhile, Langkawi is a duty free island that clearly needs more developments to attract more tourists - from fine dining to shopping and even cultural tourism during the day and at night time. It definitely needs a bigger and better airport with aerobridges in case of a bad weather and it is definitely more convenient for families with small kids or elderly travellers. It definitely needs an excellent international school so that more expats could send their kids there while working in hotels (since Langkawi's economy is mainly tourism). Who knows you want to contribute to developing the island's success while living there.

@samuelboubaous, i know this might sound weird to some, but i don't think uae, especially dubai, is the best place to live and raise kids. it's all super modern and simplified, and with so many different nationalities, it's hard to develop a real sense of culture. you and your children might end up without any real character or background. plus, let's be real, the lack of good weather, nature, and greenery can really mess with your head. sure, uae is great for business and making money, but it's not exactly the ideal spot for a fulfilling life. living in fancy villas and apartments doesn't change that fact. so, i'm on the hunt for a place where i can settle down, get married, immerse myself in their traditions and language, and maybe even start a side hustle and at the same time run my main business in Dubai .
