Well, for the cost, certainly. But you can even see in the benchmark video 6:10 that Intel cpu have only 3-5 fps lower, but around 10 fps or more for the 1% and 0.2%. So Intel cpu are just more stable and reliable. Furthemore Intel still updating the driver to optimize the new architecture, so you can only get better performance in future.

7-9700x from AMD seems like top of the line unless you want to put more in the cpu & doop more money on cooling the cpu with a 3-D chip. As a guy that's a casual gamer, 7-9700-x is it so far. I don't care about duping less than $70 on my cpu for slightly more performance. Then, the GPU I have on my radar is a 12GB by Asus/NVDEA for ray tracing performance & saving $200 to drop 4 GB. But I haven't looked much in what intel is about to launch on their new gpu at half the price yet. I'm not in a hurry to jump on my 1st build . The purpose of watching videos like this is for research.

@@Know3ody I've been sinking in some time and the AMD Ryzen 7950x seems like the card for me. I want the focus on the producition over gaming, but....I did feel I wanted something a little more future proof for gaming than that. So maybe the 7950x3D seems like the logical fit for me, although I'm hearing some questionable things about that 3D version card. Something about the CPU having to turn off half of it's cores to get the most from the gaming side or something. I do know the 9950x3D is releasing next month as well. It seems these are the best fits so far if I'm looking for a great production chip, but also something that is pretty good in gaming as well and a little future proof.
