Majkl shows us in this video how to make a traditions sweet dish from Czechia, Slovakia, Austria and Bavaria.
Majkl's dough recipe is really unique because the dough is rich and tasty. The recipe is very simple, just follow instructions in the video.
Ingredients for 2 baking pans (one for Czech version and one for Austrian version):
600 to 700 g of flour (depends how large the eggs are). When you will find the dough still sticky, add SLOWLY more flour until dough will be smooth and non-sticky.
200g butter into the dough and you will need extra 100g butter for brushing the buns
50g sugar
20g fresh yeast (or you can use a tablespoon of dried yeast - see instructions on the package)
2 large eggs
zest from 1 Lemon
125ml milk
1/4 teaspoon of salt
For the Austrian version, you need to add:
5 tablespoons of powidl (povidla in Czech)
5 tablespoons of powdered sugar
Ingredients for the Vanilla cream:
500ml milk
5 egg yolks
1 vanilla bean for perfect taste (or you can substitute it with 1 tablespoons of vanilla sugar or 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract)
80g sugar
1 teaspoon of Czech rum
