Beware it will make defending different if you have high defense you should be fine but lower defense builds might need it so play with the slider even taking it up can help depending on the build

Last year this at 50 was bad had u sliding like u had skates on but this year if u are like me and went offense heavy and low def if u put this all the way down u will get smoked leave it around 30 at least now if u got 80 and up perimeter defense u can probably take it off

Can to explain me someone what is defensive assist strength and why os better 0 from 50

Just think about it like call of duty with the aim assist, but for 2k having it low will remove the aim assist/defensive assist giving you more control on where you’re going. Having high defensive assist will increase your character chance in locking onto a player , probably thinking how is that bad ? If you have 2 people on offense near you , your character will get locked in an animation in guarding the nearest player giving the 2nd player the chance to score without you reacting fast enough. In my opinion don’t put it at 0 around 20-30 will be good

Fuck that ^ ideally the big will help you, but you can’t expect him to be able to guard everything when you’re getting molested by screens.. If you do get a good big that can hedge, etc., make sure you try to help him out too (if your guy drives off the screen and your center helps, don’t let your center’s matchup get a wide open 3, for example) 1) your build matters. Obviously higher perimeter D helps. Strength matters a lot too. Speed+accel help you recover. Challenger badge helps you contest. Pick dodger helps you with avoiding screens. 2) you have to anticipate the screen. If you know the screen is coming, you can do better at avoiding it. Be careful going under the screen, but lowkey sometimes you should. You don’t want to give the shot up, but you can recover fast enough if you dodge the screen completely. But try to go over it if you can, to deny the shot. 3) try “icing” the screen. Look this one up. I’m certain there are videos that explain it better than me. Basically, force the ballhandler to not use the screen. If a guy sets a screen, step up and cut off the ball handler’s ability to use the screen. This is honestly super effective if done correctly. Lol if you do this well enough, the guard will probably bitch at his big and tell him to stop setting screens😂😂😂

And there are other ways to defend it, but that’s basically the gist. For example, you AND the big could blitz the ballhandler when he uses a screen, but that’s kinda risky.. you’re trying to create a turnover, but if you don’t, and they make the right passes… you’re cooked. It’s so satisfying (as a big) playing with a guard that is very good and very intelligent at defending screens. Nothing is worse than playing with a guard who gets caught on every screen for 5 seconds and blames everything on the big for not helping enough… like okay… I step up on your guy because you’re stuck on the screen… and now he passed to my guy who’s rolling because you definitely can’t stop him….. and we get cooked no matter what… at some point, the guard has to do better at avoiding and getting around screens.

Can you talk about the defense? I can't get any steals. I turn the cpu ball security to zero, no steals. I turn it to 100, no steals. I have a point guard with 97 steal rating and 2 guard with 92 steal rating. What is going on. What is a good realistic setting for this area or is there another slider that I need to adjust? CPU defense on the other hand is OD. They help 100%, can't blowby anybody. They don't miss shots offensively. This game sucks
