When you do these rebuilds, you can go into a players contract and change the team option to a full contract. It means u can trade them on draft night and it's just the same as opting into an option early like how it happens in real life.

Just wondering why you’d trade up for Duren there? You were guaranteed either Banchero or Duren, and if anything Banchero is the better fit. He is a C, like he’s huge, I’d be shocked if he didn’t play the 5 in the NBA. Also he has a jumper, definitely potential to be a stretch 5 in the NBA. Duren can’t and doesn’t shoot. Plus with Scottie Barnes you’d likely want the spacing with Banchero. Was it just to switch things up?
