tbh letting those guys walk is kind of on Doc Rivers. He never wanted to play Isaiah Joe or Paul Reed, he even got resentful toward Reed and the fans/media when injuries forced him to play Reed and Reed balled out. Ricky Council has a lot of athletic ability and can get buckets, but he also plays way too out of control. Justin Edwards is the underrated bench piece on the Sixers this year

This is either gonna be a great or ridiculous prediction, but I think Embiid is done after this current contract. He has never played 70 or more games. I truly think his body is done. It’s not gonna get any better. If he keeps playing first option level minutes, he is gonna be completely broken the majority of this contract. Yes, he’s amazing. But his play style opens him up to so many injuries, the flops and throwing himself at guys isn’t going to help him. I don’t see him playing 65+ games again in his career unless it’s as a third or 4th option. At over 30 minutes a game, he’s going to keep getting worse and worse. Joel Embiid is Greg Oden if he had a more successful but still injury ridden career.

i will say at the beginning of the video you said Maxey is struggling to take the step as the #1 but i think thats false. everyone has their own opinions but look at previous seasons when Joel was out and Maxey was healthy. Maxey (even this season) has single handedly won us games when hes had to step up. even the other night he wasnt the most efficient against NY but we werent going to OT without Maxey who yeah, did start pretty slow. im not saying Maxey is gonna win you a title as a #1 option with this team but i dont think hes struggling. i think hes just at a point where he needs to find his rhythm and take smarter shots. hes still top 10 (rn) in PPG.
