Please make a playlist for every climate, starting with this, then a video about setting up camp, then finding water, then finding food, and then any additional tips for that environment. I would watch the frick out of every one.

You just brought some things to mind... I was collecting blackberries and my Wolf Dog saw me doing it and she started foraging for them for herself. I was collecting acorns and my Pit saw me and she started foraging for them and eating them. 😄 Does your dog do that, too?

Hi Donny, I know you use an alpaca poncho quite a bit, would this still be a viable option in wetter environments or would you recommend something else? I’ve been looking at army ponchos (waterproof) but in an ideal world, a good all-rounder I can use for most environments/climates would be better. Travel light and all that. Cheers!!

I have dog questions. Do you leave your dog at home on desert trips like this where you're worried about not finding enough water? And when you kill and cook game do you let the dog eat the carcass, bones included?

“I just want to make it easy on myself” *uses a hand drill* While I appreciate your skill in being able to even use a hand drill set, I wouldn’t necessarily consider it an easy method of fire starting.

@@DonnyDustsPaleoTracks that’s fair, I suppose practice makes perfect. I’m really glad I found your channel, I’ve been interested for some time in the way people used to do things, especially including making tools and starting fires without all the advantages we enjoy today. I’m hoping to start actually getting into the nitty gritty and learning how to do some of it myself very soon. In fact, I need to sit down and go through your stone knapping videos to try and pick up the basics.
