heyitsme ive driven both and have a golf tdi. I had a tdi, vw bought it back, I got a mazda 3, and now I found a good deal on a fixed golf tdi so I'm trading back. Seems dumb, but wiyh the buyback I drove the tdi the first time around for free. :) great machine.

Get a GTI instead, it's got a 6 speed and the more powerful 2.0 tsi

The SEL is available by special order. They no longer have it on their site. It is a step up from the Wolfsburg.

You can still find them on Cars.com. I think they have better headlights, better stereo (Fender) and bigger wheels.

they do offer it. they started offering it mid-model year. VW is terrible at updating their website. They also started offering an SEL Premium trim of the Jetta for 2017 mid-model year, but that one isn't listed on their website either.

Wish VW would keep making tdi for USA. As far as I know they stopped in 2015

VW does not offer a SEL Model for 2017 only in 16. There is only a S and Wolfsburg for 2017. So this must be a 16

With the 1.8T and 17 inch wheels, you almost don't need the GTI. It may be easier with insurance too...
