i have a 2017 se with tech too. I noticed few things on 2018. The exterior is same. But interior for 2018 they removed the center clock below the hazard button. Inoticed there is no lock/unlock button for rear passengers. In the engine for 2018 they put in a bigger engine cover and different design look. Can you ask VW why they did these changes. Also the new Arteon has the same 2.0T as 2018 passat however the arteon produces MORE hp than same 2.t on a passat. WHY WHY. Can u ask VW these ques

There is a difference on the outside. I don’t like that they took the chrome finish around the doors away. They just left it on the rear bumper. Not sure why they did that.

ya i noticed that too..i agree they should not have removed that chrome trim. It does not go continuous with rear now. Bad decision choice.

lexusfan100, the Arteon is replacing the CC. The CC was suppose to be the more sport like than the Passat that is probably why more horsepower but also less fuel economy!

lexusfan100 do you still have that car? I just bought the 2017 se w/tech used and really love. I don’t even see why it would be worth it for the 2018 or 19. At least 2017 has the side trim.

The Arteon is a hatchback, the Passat is not! That’s biggest difference besides the engine horse power. I think squeezing more horsepower out of the same size engine will make it wear out faster!
