New headcam for the GoPro6! Passat is huge and cheap, but also pretty fast! Turbo motor makes this much less of a dead fish than most entry-spec mid-size sedans.

Just bought a 2018 VW Passat SE with technology package. Last year's model, still brand new with under 900 actual miles on it, from the VW dealer in St. George, UT. Took vacation time to head out west with the trade, and to spend 4 days driving the car back home approximately 650 miles per day to Ocala FL. Deal finalized via internet and the dealer was absolutely great in keeping the price quoted and giving me (sight unseen) the trade allowance quoted for my 2014 VW Beetle TDI convertible with slightly over 5,000 actual miles on it. This model is the black pearl metallic exterior with black interior... looks elegant. Drove it home... great car. Still getting used to the auto braking feature on the interstates at highway posted speed, it slows the car down to the exact speed of the car/truck in front of you. Solid feeling ride and after playing with the navigation system, very workable upgrade from my '14 Beetle navigation system. All in all, very satisfied with the deal, the dealer and the vehicle. Upon arrival in FL, found that the Monster Mats (logo, heavy rubber grooved mats) were missing. The dealer sent me to the nearest VW dealer here (1.4 miles from my house) and purchased the mats for me over the phone with the Utah dealer speaking to the FL parts manager in Ocala. Even though it was over 2,500 miles via I-40 to I-15 through Las Vegas, NV, I would deal with Findlay Volkswagen again. Great, honest, and trustworthy people. Thanks. "Pastor Dean" (Rev. I used to lease a 2015 Passat SE. What a capricious car it was. Things would break down to the left and right. Within the first year lower left arm went bad and ac compressor failed. Later, one one of the cylinders lost compression. However, it's way more comfortable car than my current Accord Hybrid Touring.

According to VW's specs sheet for the 2018 VW Passat SE w/ Tech, it has heated power side mirrors, so your statement that it doesn't is incorrect.

VW does heated side view mirrors on the power mirror adjustment knob. You rotate the knob all the way to the back position, 180 degrees. There is also a little heated mirror icon located there.

Great POV video, as always. Do you remember if the arm rest slides forward like in the Jetta or older Passat? I sat in a 18 Passat S and the arm rest was fixed! So uncomfortable

admin7315 thankyou! You know, i cant recall. I think 🤔 it was fixed, but maybe had not adjusted properly. Seat adjustment range is very poor, but drive position still better than other midsizers

The review loves Volkswagen Passats like me! Mine is a 2017 with 26k miles on it. It should have heated mirrors and front heated seats! Mine does! The reviewer could be mistaken about the mirrors! Mine has the 1.8 liter engine which gets a little better gas mileage. The Sports mode make the engine burn more gas soe the gas mileage goes down in this mode. So the motor is the difference between the 2017 and 2018 years.

It's there. It's on the mirror control knob. It is activated by rotating the knob by 180 degrees to the back position (facing the dash). There is also an indicator picture there.

I own a 2010 Passat CC what a month pit great car to drive but wow be prepared to spend$$$. My front door locks automatically it can't unlock had to get in through passenger side part cost $10 to fix labour $450 . Left mirror turn signal out bulb and case to fix $240 last month had to fix an oil leak and crank problem $4200 . Car has 130,000 KLM a fucking money pit

VW has been notorious for reliability!!! Used to love VW but my dad’s 2013 Jetta just hit over 100,000 miles in June and has been a money pit ever since. 5 check engine lights in a matter of one month. Used to have a 98 Honda Civic with 200,000 miles not one problem!

I have a 2007 Passat. I have 116,000 miles on it and surprising I haven’t really put much money in it. I’ve been lucky with my 2007 and 2016 Passat. I had a 2001 beetle and it was a damn lemon.

VW Passat has a VR6 Engine...not a V6 Engine. It does have heating for outside mirrors on all trims. You turn the "L / R" dial towards the dashboard and that turns on the outside mirror heating. I bet it was hard for you to leave the Passat and get back into your 1985 Geo.
