@@GaCichlid26 It's LCD, and worst, it isn't monocrhome LCD, which could be used without backlight (like original Pebble smartwach), but it is a color LCD which needs always baclklight on so you can see it good enough. As you can see TCL don't call it e-ink but e-paper.
