The SKX is awesome - the short lug to lug means it wears much smaller than its 42mm size. The case is super comfortable on wrist and it is tough. The SKX makes a great everyday wear 😊👍

I’m 💯 with ya here man. I’ve had the 009 since it came out but just recently got the 007. I think it is the ultimate everything watch. I’ve got a few modded skx’s but my stock ones are by far my favorites. Good quality vids my dude!

I’m a machinist and my every day watches are an skx007 and an orient defender. Sometimes I switch it up and wear something else and I also keep a timex mk1 steel and gshock dw5600 in my tool box just in case I wear a watch I didn’t mean to at work.

My SKX was purchased for $180 from Long Island Watch and it was my first nice mechanical watch. Like you said the SKX is ISO certification, 200m, screw down crown, beautiful engraved case back with The Great Wave of Kanagawa. Newer 5kx replaces that special case back with a price of glass. I also love the jingly jangle super comfy bracelet that has made the skx loved by so many collectors. As to the 7s26 movement. So the newer ones hacks. Why would you ever need hacking on a highly inaccurate movement? Hate to break it to you but neither the 4R series nor 7S26 are accurate movements. So hacking is a moot point. Then there is the lack of hard winding feature of the movement. Do you feel that having to wind the movement 30 times is faster than shaking the watch 3 times to get the 7S26 movement with the “magic lever” started is easier ? Seriously?! Yes the newer watches may be prettier but so much has been lost.

Pedro Monteiro -#1 - ISO certified, #2 - screw down crown, #3 - 200meters water resistance. Overall it’s a classic! However if the Seiko 5 speaks to you more, then that’s the watch to get. There’s no right or wrong choice 😃

Always loved the skx but I also love my "5kx" 😁 Which I swapped out the stock president strap for an aftermarket jubilee (checkout my latest video) you do make some interesting points though. I think they're both good watches but for different reasons! There's room for both of them. 🙂 Very nicely done video. 👍
