I just ordered one of these earlier this week for my short commute to work. I was nervous being that theres so many options out there, but everything I'm seeing is reinforcing my decision. It looks like a great bike and I'm really looking forward to trying it out.

We are publishing a "budget" cargo bike review this weekend where we compare the Lectric to the Aventon and a Rad Power. All three options have their upsides, the Lectric takes the cake for dual battery, load capacity and overall cost at the end of the day. Congrats on the purchase, happy riding!

Lectric seems to have done their homework by offering an inexpensive, yet competent cargo bike. Apples to Oranges comparison, Regarding Hill Climbs and Towing a bicycle trailer which bike would perform better, the Lectric or the dual motor PHILODO H8 Dual Motor Fat Tire Electric Bike which sells for $100.00 more? I would like to see that bike as the following set-up: Mid Drive (500w+), folding frame (to become more compact), and instead of two batteries being on the outside of frame; one of them in down tube and the other (as an option) to attach behind and under the saddle area. Also, to have a pannier bar in order to hang pannier bags (when something is already ontop of rack). This would be an ideal version for those who do long distance bike touring :)

I'd love to see a hill climb with pedalling, too. Nice informative review. I wonder if the Blix Paka or Rad cargo bike's rear child safety frame/rack might fit on the xp, as the orbitor's bottom rail opening is a bit low for a preteen passenger...

I've been looking for a while and I believe if I want the bike with the power, range and price point I'm going to have to build it myself. The X-ped frame may be what I start with if I can find some front suspension for it. This X-Ped is as close a bike I've seen for my requirements so far. Keep going Lectric!👍❤️

I just ordered on but still trying to figure out why the handle bar is lose. When I turn right the wheel don't turn.😢

Make sure to check the tightness of the bolts on the stem, they may be loose and this would cause your handlebars to turn and not your wheel.

I've been riding two Cyrusher bikes over the last three years. They made me allergic to hub motors. The rear wheel literally spins off the dropout. The last time it happened it ripped off the third-party torque arm. Is this cargo bike able to pull a Burley Nomad trailed with about 200lbs of gear? Do you have a dealer in Manhattan?

Thanks! The helemt is the Giro Ethos helmet. We will have a review on the site soon. In short, it's a lightweight commuter helmet with integrated lights, and a remote that you can put on the handlebars to activate the lights on the helmet including turn signals. Sure, especially for this bike. Motor W and battery size are all relative and specific to the user.

I currently ride a very similar bike, a Felt Tote'M. It's getting time to replace it, I've had it for just over 3 years, & I believe it was built in 2018. This bike looks to be my next e-cargo-bike. I can make easy upgrades to appeal to the bike geek in me, & keep the price down so my other bikes don't get too jealous. This bike looks like a GREAT tool for people in bike (& slightly less than) bike friendly areas, a true car replacement with outstanding value. I do NOT working in the ad or bicycle industries... If you're thinking about getting your first car replacement e-cargo-bike, bye this one. After a year or two you'll start looking at other e-bikes to "upgrade" to. Promise.

Well said, for less than $2k the bike offers a lot as is and in a scenario like yours, over the course of three years you can customize and upgrade little by little.

I’ve noticed most e-bike batteries look very similar, are they typically interchangeable or do you need different batteries for different bikes?

Batteries are specific to the entire drive unit system. Some are interchangeable within the same brand between different model bikes. But it’s not the norm

Very nice review. Would have been more helpful to see a hill test with elementary school age kid, 9-11, as passenger, using plus 1 seat, along with backpacks for adult and child, instead of an adult passenger. And climbing a range of hills with and without pedaling, instead of just one huge long one with no pedaling. In other words a demo of how this would really look to commuting parent with school drop off thinking to make the switch from car. Thank you.

Minor correction: The two batteries do not charge at the same time. Only one charger comes with the bike, meaning you'll have to charge them one after the other. From what I've read, that takes about 12-14 hours.

General rule of thumb across all electric bikes is that estimated max mileage is based off of the least amount assist (i.e., PAS 1 or ECO), also range on any bike will vary from rider to rider based on temperature, rider weight, wind, elevation, etc.

They both have a "750 watt" motor but the XPremium has 800 peak watts and XPedition has 1300 peak. So the XPedition.

Pedal assist allows for top speed above 20mph, hence class 3.

There is an option in the display to set its max pedal assist speed 28 mph. By default it is set to 20 mph.

Tell Levi that i have been waiting for 3 months and still no delivery and i have received comments from others with trouble getting the delivery of ebike. I paid and they had no problem taking the money. We have contacted them on 4 occasion after being told a deliver date but nothing came on those dates. Very frumstrating waiting around for a delivery only to get disappointed. I know now that it is in detroit which is only 1 hour away and we are only 10 minutes from main highway. I could go there and get it and be back in three hours. Why no delivery. Come on Levi get your shipping act together. This pisses me off.

It has a headlight, tail light (not brake actuated) and no horn. But the brake light and horn are easy to add and it's still cheaper to buy this bike and add those on your own.

Interesting.. Almost $1,000 worth of motor, batteries, controller and display.. Not a bad deal I guess. Unlike the Flyer cargo folding bike, which has a rear combo fender side skirt setup, Lectric chose to keep it open looking by using the clear plexi guards.🤔 good grief! That was some hill test. 😂 Can't really tell how those plexiglass guards are mounted and whether they will be easy to clean. I expect they will really be scratched up after a year or 2. Good look at the bike and it's uses 👍

If they get scratched you can replace easy yourself, if I buy this bike I will use reflective tape over them any way I plans for this bike lol make it my own

OK, the bike is cool. I'm watching this video because it is the main bike i am considering. But.... ABSOLUTELY NO ONE is going to use this bike instead of a pallet jack. Your constant comparison to a pallet jack makes me think you have no idea what s pallet jack even is.

Long-tail bike do not work. Simply put, you can't manoeuver as freely as a box bike

Well, yeah, obviously a cargo bike doesn't maneuver as freely as a single bike, but that doesn't mean "they don't work." Subaru Foresters don't maneuver as freely as a Porsche Roadster, but that doesn't mean "they don't work." 😉
