Thank you for the dark fury suggestion. I’ve been a detailing hobbyist for decades and never knew about this product. It did a great job of cleaning the engine and the door jams. Wahoo. I’ve ordered Motorplast. I can’t wait until it gets here.

I'm going to try this for the first time this week. I've been using back to black, and meguairs products and was never 100% happy with it. I've heard good things about the motorplast (and I use KC polishes religiously) so I am quite sure I won't be disappointed.

For engine bays we use Dark Fury 5:1 in our Marolex foaming pump sprayer with a boars hair brush to clean and Aqua Gloss 4:1 air sprayed from our small Harbor Freight Detailer Gun to dress. These products offer multi purpose & surface use which makes them more cost effective for detail businesses.

I've never heard of that stuff. Looks pretty cool. Questions: first of all I'm not that bright, but do you do the engine compartment first, then do glass? I get crude on my windshield and have to reclean. And, when you engine clean, do you have to clean cement under car after your done? I've noticed my driveway getting icky from cars. I'd like to try that product. Neat video. Thank you.
@1stfrompuertorico5682 жыл бұрын
Yes kim, whenever you clean an engine bay it is advisable to do certain things like cleaning the driveway or cement where you had the car because of the dirt, oil, grime you are removing from the engine and you don't want that sitting on your cement, I normally use an APC or degreaser just to then wash over the cement. The other thing when you clean the engine is that you must wash the windshield, remember that the dirt from the engine is being blast with either a pressure washer or a hose and that spills out to the windshield and also to the paint on the front fenders. One way to avoid it or quick cleaning them is use ONR to lift that dirt and then blast them with the hose or pressure washer, then use ONR again with microfiber towel to get that dirt off safely or with the black sponge. Also, another alternative is using old drying towels on the windshield or those plastic shower curtains over the windshield, so the dirt being blasted from the engine doesn't stick to the windshield and is contained by the plastic shower curtain. Hope that makes sense.😄👍
@kimnewling57282 жыл бұрын
@@1stfrompuertorico568 yes that's all helpful. One thing I've noticed was when I walk my dog, all the junk that came off my driveway goes into the curb and gutter and eventually goes down the storm sewer. Is that OK? Just don't want people harassing me about cleaning cars.

Hi Chelsea, Could you elaborate on the rinse-less wash after the dark fury. What does that do and did you just spray it on and rinse or use it w/ microfiber? Love the channel btw 🙂
@attention2detailswchelsea2 ай бұрын
I spray with dark fury and mostly then just pressure wash off or at maximum agitate surfaces with a wheel brush then rinse, blow off excess water and then mist with Motorplast

Awesome Chelsea!! I am taking delivery of a 2024 C8 Corvette next week. The car should be clean coming from GM to the dealer and then to me. What procedure and materials do you suggest I use on a brand new engine for protection??!! Thanx again for a GREAT VIDEO…..Dr Bob from Kennett Square PA!!!
@attention2detailswchelsea11 ай бұрын
If it’s brand new you might be able to get by with just a rinseless wash or a quick wipe down and then use this to dress and protect but it may not even need that for a while.

@@attention2detailswchelsea I bought both the dark Fury and the Koch Chemie MP and I am so impressed! They have just replaced everything I have used in the past. @taozhen97509 күн бұрын
how to clean battery?
@attention2detailswchelsea9 күн бұрын
Often times all it needs is hit it with a degreaser and pressure wash FROM A DISTANCE and very quickly and then blow dry. If it’s crusty you may need a brush but always avoid excess moisture if it can be avoided on electrical components. On older vehicles or older batteries or connections that look work though that approach may be too aggressive so use common sense and let the technique match the situation
