Lordy, love the adventure of going through your videos. This looks simply amazing. What mushroom did you use? I love baby bok choy, Chinese broccoli and Chinese chive. Do you suggest any differentiation in when to these. Love your channel. You all are so creative and I truly appreciate how you've changed how I cook.
@spicenpans6 жыл бұрын
Hi Rebecca. Thanks so much. You’re really generous with your kind words. Really appreciate. We used Chinese dried mushrooms. You can also use canned button mushrooms. No problem. For Chinese broccoli and baby bok choy, these are great choices for this recipe. You can just give them a quick blanch before adding everything to a pan to stir fry them with the rest of the ingredients. Hope this helps.

You can follow our recipe here. kzbin.info/www/bejne/g2LcgmtjrJd7qZo Just omit the use of spinach. Hope this helps.

Do you really need to add sugar into the marinated water at first, are they fresh and sweet taste at the beginning? And need to add baking soda to make them crisper? Are they healthy? Any other option? Looking good, but not sure a some steps are really necessary! 🤔🤭

Hihi Medinalba. Yes you can omit fish maw. No problem. That’s actually fish stomach. Feel free to add your favourite seafood or ingredients to this dish. Happy cooking 🤓

Correction: Fish maw is the fish's swim bladder. I would advise replacing it with baby abalones instead, after I watched a video about the fishes' swim bladder exploding when hauled from the sea due to the difference in water pressure from bottom of the sea and surface.

If it is 10 seconds of blanching the broccoli and carrots why would you need oil or salt to keep its color? 10 seconds?

Hi Claire. I think we got it from Thailand. Sorry we can’t remember much because our fish maw we’re usually gifted by our moms or friends. There’s no brand to them. Maybe you can try this: Soak in hot water for 20-30mins, remove squeeze dry and rinse with water and squeeze dry again. Repeat until no stale oil smell. Hope this helps. Happy cooking!
