So glad I saw this video! Here I was thinking my two piece exhaust needed welding. Now I know what to do with these clamps that came with it 😂

Always use some copper rtv or jb weld muffler cement under the connections
@NEVERGOON1002 ай бұрын
I just did that, not sure that copper stuff will last against the elements though
@AUDIO2AUTO2 ай бұрын
@@NEVERGOON100 is pretty strong once it sets up, probably better than the cement.
@NEVERGOON1002 ай бұрын
@@AUDIO2AUTO I used it this week, took it in to a shop and had welds done instead

When it comes to joining pipes like this, you are better off using a lap band clamp. These can deform the pipes, as you can see in the video.

Owner before me didn't do a good job, I just stuff filler in it. Seemed to work very well

blew the muffler off my car somehow 😂 everything else is still working right 🤷🏽♂️ bouta buy a flanged pipe to bolt to my resonator make a makeshift straight pipe muffler till i can order an aftermarket or stock muffler lmaooo
@Santanapain10 ай бұрын
Your supposed to let them spread out, I had a hard time to but honestly there ment to pinch the pipes together to make a seal. Tighten it as far as you can make sure it pinches
@AlexT-md9df2 ай бұрын
I saw somewhere that slits are supposed to be cut into the outer pipe
@drcar92022 ай бұрын
I think that will cause leaks.

It just takes patience.. if you do it right and the pipes are in decent shape, it works every time.. let me know if you have any questions about these..

where can i get that pipe 2in ID around that length. bc autozone nor advance seem to have the shit.
@drcar92024 ай бұрын
It's the kind of item that a store will have or not have randomly.. so just go to another branch.. i would try finding out which is the main hub store, they'll probably have it, good luck.

@@drcar9202 so, what would i call it? 2 1/8" coupler, or? i found some 4" in length couplers 2 1/8 ID both ends which is what i need. but id prefer to have that extra length just in case. your vid is the only one ive seen that shows the use case i have since the pipes dont but up after having some "bad" removed.
